i was just saying the other day about how footwear as a character design element is such an underused thing, and that when i see a character with specific, thoughtful choice of shoes i can instantly tell that the author/artist cares about what they're making. you can show so much about a character from all their clothes and how they wear them too, and i just love seeing when people put effort into that kind of detail!
everything i see about webtoon as a website and a format makes me want to blow it up with grenades more and more with every passing second.
creators saying that their readers don’t even read the comic?? and then comment about things that just didn’t happen???? plus their horrifying upload schedule that makes artists crunch and gives everyone an unrealistic expectation about how quickly comics should be made and consumed and discarded. and how the format itself is more like animation storyboards (and treats the medium like an inferior stepping stone to an animated show) than a comic with little thought paid to layout or design or making it Good at all in favor of Producing Content. idk man it all just makes me a bit heated

in other news, my comic for the ShortBox fair is finally complete…. look forward to seeing it in october :DDDD and hopefully a few more previews before then too!
why is snake guy pinching that person's arm muscles with forceps. why is he doing that. why are they letting him do that.
it’s always “why are they doing experimental surgery on that person’s arm” and never “wow that experimental surgery looks fun, dr ouroboros” or “well i wonder what that mousegirl did to require digging around in her muscles with forceps”
