A delightful combination of zesty lime and spicy ginger in a buttery graham cracker crust, this tart offers a refreshing and tangy dessert experience.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 3 large eggs. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup fresh lime juice. 1 tablespoon lime zest. 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger. 1/2 cup heavy cream. Whipped cream and lime slices for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, then let it cool completely. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, lime juice, lime zest, and grated ginger until smooth. Pour the mixture into the cooled tart crust. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the filling is set. Let the tart cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Before serving, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then garnish the tart with whipped cream and lime slices.
