Harry Potter fandom member that was famous for posting about their struggles with Tuberculosis. Pretended to die from illness in 2006, only to be outed as a fake. Perhaps, this is not an example of a real death, but rather the death of an identity and persona. If the death was not real does that invalidate the mourning process people went through?
