How was Dread? Been meaning to check it out.

IT WAS GREAT. Using a Jenga tower to increase tension is genius and really has to be experienced to be appreciated. And since it doesn’t have all the complex dice rolling of traditional TRPGs having a bigger party of people isn’t the worst. Also going in with the intention of a short, self-contained story gives a different atmosphere as well. I know you can do one shots in DnD systems but ehhhh. idk this just seemed to work so perfectly.

Aye. I’ve cleared it with Art Boss and booked off the last week of September. I’d prefer like... next week, but you know. That’s unfair to them, that’s way too short notice. And I’ll live. Maybe I’ll just take it easy and not worry about being creative on my own time till then. Dunno. But thanks.

What happened?

You know. Stuff. Talkin about character design and the sudden assertion that the characters should “still be attractive” right after talking about fun, stumpy, fat dwarf men and beer-bellied drunk pirate captains but HEAVEN FORBID a muscular lady. And bringing up Zarya and having her be called too butch. And defensively bringing up the two female gamers he knows that like to play as the “sexy” lady characters. That I can’t make a generalisation that female gamers would really like to see other body and character types because the two ladies he knows don’t want that so of course I must be wrong.

I can’t say much either way. NDAs. Work stuff. Game dev. Boys club.

I just care too much about stuff I can’t control, I guess.
