"Memories of Sorrow" *awkwardly hopes I'll get one too*
« Upon touching my Muse, Your’s is suddenly thrown into one of Mine’s Tragic and Painful Memories, Send “Memories of Sorrow” to see a painful and tragic memory of My Muse..
Kuvira tensed when she felt Korra’s hand on her shoulder, the prison uniform thin enough to allow warmth to go through. An angry retort was building in her throat, but before she could spout it off at the Avatar, her mind spun dizzyingly.
Everything was engulfed in a white flash of light.
"Mommy," a small girl with long, messy dark hair pulled into a bun curled her arms around herself, shivering in the icy downpour. "Please come back."
The rain was coming down by the bucketfuls, drenching the girl in a matter of seconds. Her thin and worn sundress did nothing to protect her from the elements, of course. Perhaps at one point it had been vibrant and beautiful, but now it just looked old and ugly.
Bare feet sloshing through the mud, the girl tripped and fell, headfirst into a particularly deep hole in the ground. She sat up, spitting mud out of her teeth with disgust before her body began to shake with heart-wrenching sobs, and she hunched over as if to hold herself together.
It had been hours- she didn’t think that her parents were coming back for her anytime soon.
"But they promised," she whimpered, a tear slipping over her round birthmark on her cheek. "They promised they’d come back!"
Her tears blended in with the rain, undetectable among rainwater. Although she was chilled to the bone, and shaking uncontrollably, eventually she drowsily started to nod off. She almost had, when a memory of her mother telling her never to fall asleep when wet and cold jolted her awake and gave her the strength to clamber back up to her feet.
"Shelter," Her teeth were chattering uncontrollably. "I need shelter."
It was all she could do to put one foot in front of the other. The alternative was stopping- and waiting for the rain to swallow her up whole. Determination filled the little girl. She had to find help. Maybe somebody would help her if she asked.
Eventually, she found herself at the outskirts of a huge, magnificent looking city, completely made of metal. The lightning flashing across the skies lit up the buildings, and she opened her mouth in awe. It was a huge development- surely somebody would take the time to listen to her!
Maybe they can find mommy.
There was a huge silver bullet train- she recognized them from one of her textbooks at school. She didn’t have any money, and so she snuck aboard, hiding behind a row of seats in the very back. When the train halted in it’s tracks after some time, she waited for just the right moment before darting back off the machine.
At least it wasn’t raining so hard over here.
Her feet felt dead, they hurt so badly. But she gritted her teeth- up ahead, not too far away, there was a huge mansion sort of house thing.
Somebody important had to live there- it was like a fairytale! Maybe there was a queen with princesses and princes, and they would adopt her as one of their own!
But she was just being silly. That sort of stuff was Fire Nation history, not Earth Kingdom, and certainly not for Metalbenders.
She finally collapsed from sheer exhaustion when she couldn’t take another single step, just inches away from the porch at the front of the house. The sensation of mud on her cheek and rain falling on her hair was the last thing that registered in her eight year old mind before she was out like a light.
