1 lunatic 1 icepick video (Google it and don't blame me for what you see haha) Luka Magnotta, a 32 year old Canadian who killed and dismembered his boyfriend Lin Jun, with an icepick after he ended the relationship. He also does a few other disturbing things in the 11min video. You were warned. Follow my favorite truecrimeblog congenitaldisease I had to post this once I saw an anon ask her about it. Haha I forgot about this video
Luka Magnotta (left) was a Canadian gay pornographic actor who worked as a model, stripper, and male escort. Luka has been charged on numerous instances of fraud in the past, and aside from this, he took pleasure in uploading videos of himself murdering kittens online. Now living in Montreal, Quebec, Luka began dating an international student from China named Lin Jun. In 2012, the couple broke up and Lin Jun began dating another man. This enraged Luka, who kidnapped Lin and tied him to his bed frame, letting him linger there for a while. Then, with an ice pick, he began to repeatedly stab him, then went on to cut off his head, arms, and legs. He had sex with Jun’s dismembered arm and limbless torso before cutting off pieces of his flesh with a knife and a fork and getting his dog to chew on the body. The entire murder was filmed and uploaded online, titled as, ‘’1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick’’ with the 1987 New Order song ‘’True Faith’’ playing in the background.
Afterward, Luka mailed body parts to a public school in Vancouver and an office of a Canadian political party. Authorities found that the body parts belonged to that of Lin Jun and labeled Luka the prime suspect. However, by that time, Luka had already fled the country. An international manhunt was launched and Luka was eventually caught in a Berlin internet cafe reading up on articles about himself.
After a three month trial, Luka was found guilty of first-degree murder on December 23, 2014, and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 25 years.
Regardless of what you hope will come from the trial, I think it's disgusting that there is more support and publicity for Luka Magnotta than for Lin Jun, the victim he murdered, mutilated and used as a method of harassment, his body parts sent to people and schools in boxes.
When you say 'gore websites desensitize people' as an excuse for the lack of outrage, and yet buy in to the sensationalism of glorifying a killer, you are part of the dehumanization of Lin Jun. He was turned into an object of morbid curiosity, severed into parts and used as a means to immortalize his killer.
He was an international student from Wuhan, China. He was an undergraduate in engineering, and he had a family. He had a mother and a father, who miss him desperately. He had a smile, and a laugh. He had favorite clothes. He had a favorite song. Lin Jun had friends, who worried about him enough to look for him when they didn't hear from him. He was gay, but he hid it from the people he loved. Lin Jun was a person, a human being, who had cried, and laughed, and slept and ate, and kept secrets.
He was killed. Worse than that, he was dehumanized. He was made an object instead of a person - not just by his killer, but by the media as well.
Police seek Interpol's help, believe Luka Magnotta has fled to France

MONTREAL-As body parts in the heinous, videotaped murder that police attribute to a Toronto-born porn actor lie sealed in plastic at Montreal's morgue, police have confirmed the victim is the same person the Consulate General of China has identified as missing.
The investigation took on international dimensions Thursday as police sought the help of Interpol to find Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, who is believed to have fled to France. Police say they plan to charge Magnotta with second-degree murder and interfering with the dignity of a dead body.
Magnotta is the sole suspect in a bizarre and grotesque killing in which the victim was cut into pieces and body parts were sent through the mail. A foot ended up at the headquarters of the ruling Conservative Party of Canada in Ottawa. A hand was also mailed, destined for the Liberals.
Meanwhile, China's Consulate General in Montreal asked for the community's help to find 33-year-old Lin Jun, who hails from the east-central Chinese city of Wuhan. Family and friends, the consulate stated, lost contact with him on May 24.
Lin arrived in Montreal in July 2011. A spokesperson for the consulate said she didn't know why he came to Montreal or what he was doing here. A May 30 posting on its website is entitled: "Find Lin Jun."
A police source confirmed on Thursday evening that Lin is the victim in the case and that he was a student at Concordia University in Montreal.
Police have said the video is authentic. "We have all the reasons to believe it is the killing," Montreal police Commander Ian Lafrenière said. Police also believe the victim in the video, an Asian male, is the same one whose body parts were sent to Ottawa.
The video was posted May 25 to a Canada-based website that deals with death and gore.
It shows the perpetrator repeatedly stabbing then dismembering the victim. It also appears to depict cannibalism and sexual defiling of the body.
In the background is the song "True Faith" by New Order, notable for its presence in the film American Psycho.
Police sources also said the victim was in a romantic relationship with the suspect. The two lived fairly close to each other in Montreal's west end.
Magnotta was born in Scarborough as Eric Clinton Newman. It appears he has lived in several places and police say he has adopted several different identities.
In 2005, he pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud under $5,000 and impersonation. He received a nine-month conditional sentence and 12 months probation.
There is no shortage of material about Magnotta both online and off, much of it impossible to authenticate. The bulk of it suggests self-promotion.
There are also mentions that raise questions about mental illness and possible links to notorious sex killer Karla Homolka.
A few years ago Magnotta tried out for a Canadian gay reality TV show called Cover Guy. "A lot of people tell me I'm really, devastatingly good looking," he tells the judges. "I'm very determined and every goal I put my mind to I surpass."
But the judges think he's too skinny for the contest and decline to put him through to the next round.
In posing for Toronto gay magazine Fab when he was 22, he tells the magazine he wanted to be a police officer.
There are photos of him with what appears to be a girlfriend. There are also online indications that he fathered a child. One video posits that Magnotta's child died.
Magnotta moved to Montreal about four months ago, according to the manager of a rundown apartment building where the suspect rented apartment 208. He said he moved to the city to be closer to his child.
On Thursday, Nina Arsenault, a former girlfriend, told the Toronto Star that Magnotta had a temper and "if it went on it was terrifying."
Arsenault, a transsexual who dated Magnotta 10 years ago, said he spoke very briefly of his family, but when he did there was "always red hot anger."
"He hated his dad. He hated his family and said they didn't understand him and he had to get away from him."
Arsenault said she saw him pick fights with people on the street during their three-week relationship.
The two met at Remington's, a Yonge St. strip club. Arsenault said Magnotta worked there as a stripper, adding he was also an escort and did live sex shows via web cam.
She said Magnotta exhibited a number of eccentricities, including banging his head in the shower and hitting himself quite regularly.
Magnotta is well known among animal activists, who have put together an online portfolio accusing him of being a torturer of cats and kittens.
A 2007 article under his name talks about mental illness.
"I am Manic Depressive or Bi Polar," it reads. "One day im normal, the next i cant get out of my bed and then next week I want to conquer the world lol."
A blog posting from January 2012 connected to his name extensively discusses the current whereabouts of Homolka. In a 2007 newspaper interview, he denied any links to her.
One neighbour, a former actor, called Magnotta the "coldest person you've ever met" and recounted how Magnotta asked him how to move from porn into regular acting.
An online interview from 2010, purportedly with Magnotta, indicates he started doing porn in Los Angeles at age 20.
He praised the business but warned, "You have to realize that after age 30 your career is basically over.
MONTREAL - Gentle, upbeat, and always smiling, Justin Lin, as he was known in English, came to Canada as an immigrant to make it his new home.
Instead, Lin's life was snuffed out in the most stomach-churning way, leaving his closest circle of friends mourning his loss and reeling from the viciousness of a murder that was filmed and posted to the Internet.
"We're still in denial. I'm in denial, hoping he'll still show up, hoping this was some sort of hoax he did to his friends," said Ming, who asked that his real name not be used.
Sitting on the steps of the west Montreal apartment building where Lin lived, Ming shook his head. "He never did any harm to anybody. I don't know how anyone would harm him."
The close friends of the 33-year-old Lin spoke to the Star on condition of anonymity, confused and fearful of a killer who's still on the run.
Police attended Lin's apartment to interview some of his friends Friday evening, and left carrying large suitcases and bags.
An international manhunt is underway for Toronto-born Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, a porn actor and model who changed his name from Eric Clinton Newman. Police intend to charge him with first-degree murder and indignity to a dead body. They also added charges Friday involving threatening Prime Minister Stephen Harper and using the mail system for transmitting something obscene.
Those charges relate to the fact that certain body parts were packaged and sent through the mail. A foot ended up at Conservative party headquarters in Ottawa, traumatizing personnel there.
A video police say is of the murder scene shows the suspect stabbing the victim with an ice pick, then dismembering the body. There also appears to be acts of cannibalism and sexual defiling of the corpse.
The Chinese community has been stunned. Students have discussed the case extensively on Chinese social media sites, including renren.com. One commenter from China wonders whether Canada is a safe place.
Magnotta has an extensive presence on the Internet, much of it objectionable. He is accused by many of having tortured and killed kittens and cats. A British newspaper even called police on him for this reason.
Lin, by contrast, is recalled by his friends as being the opposite; he is described as always positive, genuine, hard-working and someone who cared for everyone.
Born Lin Jun in the city of Wuhan, in east-central China, he first came to Canada in 2010, and then permanently in July 2011. He quickly got a part-time job as a corner store cashier while taking government-offered French classes.
He enrolled at Concordia University in computer science, specializing in gaming, though he already had a related degree in China.
Lin loved nothing more than to go to dinner with friends - Korean barbecue was his favourite - and play the Chinese card game san guo sha, or "three kingdoms kill."
"I saw him two weeks ago and he was so happy," said Shan, also not his real name. "I'm in shock, I'm so sad."
Shan was Lin's roommate last summer. He said Lin was a gentle guy who rarely argued with anyone. He helped Shan learn how to work out properly at the gym.
"He had a nice shape, so I asked him a lot of questions," Shan said.
Last semester, Lin took a course in cinema studies, Shan said, which he thought might cut his workload.
Lin's friends knew something was wrong after they stopped hearing from him on May 24. His last text to a friend was at 9 that night. Friends tried calling him Friday, and then Saturday, with no luck. Finally, on May 27, they went to his apartment and got inside.
"His backpack was still there. His cat was there, unfed. His cellphone charger was there," Ming recounted. "It didn't look like he was on vacation."
Ming then went to Lin's workplace, a corner store in the Pointe-St-Charles neighbourhood called Depanneur HKK.
"I told his friend that he hadn't come to work. We didn't know where he was," said owner Kankan Huang. He said Lin was quiet and hard working, and never missed a shift.
That's when Ming called police. At first they didn't file a missing person report, he said.
"They (police) said he's an adult; maybe he doesn't want to be with his friends for a while. We told them over and over, Justin isn't like that. He wouldn't just disappear." None of Lin's close friends say they know how Lin met Magnotta, though police said the two men had a relationship.
"If he was dating someone," Shan commented, "it was just because he wanted to find someone with something in common.
"He didn't deserve this."
Magnotta has a long Internet trail attached to his name, difficult to authenticate, that links him to articles on necrophilia, manic depression and even white supremacy.
He has a previous fraud conviction and also went bankrupt in 2007, with liabilities of $17,000.
Magnotta is well known among animal activists, who have put together an online portfolio accusing him of being a torturer of cats and kittens.
The Sun tabloid newspaper in London, England, claimed Friday that one of its reporters interviewed Magnotta over the alleged cat brutality.
"He was without doubt one of the most disturbed and disturbing individuals I have ever encountered," wrote Sun reporter Alex West.
They met six months ago at a pub in Wembley, England, where Magnotta was staying.
West was rebuffed when he tried to get police to investigate the young Canadian over the kitten video.
A later email that the British reporter believed was sent by Magnotta "described in lurid, horrifying detail the disgusting things he wanted to do to me - acts of the darkest sexual and violent nature."
