PSA to my followers please do not download the app called blue whale!! its extremely harmful!!!
i just looked this up and yeah it’s valid the inventor says he is “cleansing” society and already admitted to 16 girls killing themselves because of it
Another write up about it: http://news10.com/2017/05/10/parents-warned-about-potentially-deadly-blue-whale-game/
i had never heard of an app for it, but the challenge has been out there for a little while. there have been at least few suicides here in brazil that were probably linked to it. here’s the deal, according to what i found out: you have to give a person they call the “curator” (the one who tells you what to do) lots of stuff about yourself, because, that way, if you decide you don’t wanna participate anymore, they can threaten you so you stay.
saying “don’t download it, it’s a suicide game” to a suicidal person probably won’t help, it might just tempt them to try it, so here’s why you shouldn’t do it: -that personal information you have to share could put others in danger too, not just you. your loved ones, who’d already be going through enough shit if you killed yourself. who knows what would be done with that information?? -do you really wanna be controlled by some random creep online? i mean, you don’t even know who those people are, it’s super creepy and disgusting to want to have so much control over the lives of mostly young girls. borderline fetishistic or some shit, imo. -when people kill themselves because of that “game”, it just spreads the panic more, and the news, and, with that, it gets more people to know about the “challenge”, pottentially putting more lives in danger. basically, you’re putting many other lives in danger by letting yourself be controlled by some random creep online. it goes beyond the regular reasons not to kill yourself. don’t even try to contact a curator. it’s just a shitty idea.
“Let me paint a picture of what’s waiting for you on the shore. You arrive in America, land of opportunity, milk and honey and guess what? You all get to be slaves. Split up, sold off and worked to death. The lucky ones get sunday off to sleep and fuck and make more slaves, and all for what? For cotton? Indigo? For a fucking purple shirt? The only good news is the tabacco your grandkids are gonna farm for free is gonna give a shitload of these white motherfuckers cancer. And I ain’t even started yet.”
Anger. Gets. Shit. Done.
I got chills!!!
(Good to have you back @theorlandojones!!)
Fuckkk I really want to read the book first but
@radioactiveduckee you can read the book and still enjoy the show. I’m reading it now and I’m just enjoying seeing the various scenes from the book be played out. It’s more character driven than plot driven I think…
They’ve changed/improved some things too… like Bilquis has a lot more scenes and plot development than she does in the book.
It’s not really so much like other books vs TV where they’re are a lot of points to be spoiled. In fact, they specifically said in an interview that they wanted to make this a spoiler free show, so people could just enjoy the ride instead of worrying/wondering what the next twist will be.
@abbiehollowdays what show is that? you always have the best GIFS
AMERICAN GODS!! @islandflowerisasaint96 It’s on Starz but you can find it online if you don’t have that channel.
If you enjoyed American Gods be sure to read Anansi’s Boys. It’s a sequel that’s focused on Anasi and his sons. It’s also way better that AG.
That’s next on my list! I hope they do end up making a spin off show about him with Orlando Jones! There’s been talk
‘’For Inktober I wanted to cover Mental Illness Awareness.’’ Shawn Coss.
RIP Robert Goodwin, victim of today’s Cleveland shooting. He was 74 years old.
Jealousy is a motive for many crimes – especially murder, mostly involving the own life companion. On July 24, 2002, Clara Harris confronted her husband David Harris in a hotel parking lot. She had been notified by the private detective she had hired one week before that David had been meeting with his mistress, Gail Bridges, a receptionist at one of orthodontist practices the Harrises owned. The two had been having a affair for a quite long time. Clara had been suspecting that David was unfaithful and on July 17, 2002, David confirmed her suspicions. Clara insisted that David should end his affair with Bridges and began noting down the differences between her and his mistress. In the following days, Clara hired a personal trainer and planned to get breast implants in hope to save the marriage. David eventually promised her to stop his affair, but nothing could be further from the truth. On July 24, 2002, David told his wife he was going to meet with Bridges to end the affair. Following this, Clara notified the hired private detective about David’s alleged plan – just to make sure if he was being honest. However, instead of meeting with Bridges at a restaurant, David booked a room in the Hilton Hotel in Nassau Bay, Texas, the same hotel he and Clara had married in. Feelings of betrayal and rage surfaced in Clara and she decided to drive with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Lindsey Harris, who sat in the passenger seat the whole time, to the hotel to finally confront David. The conflict between Bridges, David and her escalted quickly and Clara punched David three times, which resulted in her being escorted outside. A few moments later, David came out of the hotel and made his way to the parking lot, not expecting something bad to happen. Clara ultimately snapped at the sight of David and ran over him three times with her silver Mercedes-Benz, while Lindsey sat in her passenger seat, begging her to stop the vehicle. Clara was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with first-degree murder. The crime was caught on video by the private detective she had hired to spy on her husband. The video showed how the vehicle tossed David’s body around. Clara Harris was found guilty of murdering her husband in Ferbruary of 2003 and sentenced to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The jury found that Harris committed a crime of passion. She showed remorse for what she had done throughtout the trial and still continues to do so.
Id do the same thing tbh.

Did Teresita Basa solve her own murder? Born in the Philippines in 1929, Teresita moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she became a respiratory therapist at Edgewater Hospital. She was known to be a very reserved woman. On a crisp cold evening in 1977, the shrill sound of a fire engine could be heard speeding towards an apartment in N. Pine Grove Avenue.
As they extinguished a fire in 15B, they were more than horrified to find a body hidden under a mattress. They were even more aghast to discover that the body was nude with a butcher knife in the middle of her chest. The body was that of Teresita Basa. After a couple of months, the case went cold. That was until lead detective, Joe Stachula, found a note on his desk telling him to call the Evanston Police Department. When he called, he was told a bizarre story about a Dr. Jose Chua. Jose had told police that his wife, Remy Chua, was possessed by Teresita Basa.
He explained that his wife would go into a comatose state and would claim to be Basa. While this story sounds absolutely ridiculous, Mr. Chua soon became intrigued when his wife blurted out what she claimed was the name of Basa’s killer - Allan Showery. She told her husband that Showery had also stolen jewellery from Basa’s apartment. Police decided they would investigate these claims, even though they assumed it was just fabrication. Lo and behold, it just so turned out that a man called Allan Showery worked with Basa.
Police called Showery in to question him and after catching him in a number of lies, he confessed that it was true - he had murdered Teresita Basa. When police went to search his home, they discovered a number of pieces of jewellery that had been stolen from Basa’s apartment. After pleading guilty, Showery was sentenced to fourteen years for murder and four years for arson and robbery. However, he was released in 1983 after serving less than five years.
Saw this in my Facebook feed. Can we make this go viral Tumblr?
The largest cat in NYC, and possibly the world, is a 28 lb., 4-foot-long Maine Coon named Samson. He’s bigger than most bobcats (and most toddlers), and every day he likes to sit on his owner’s chest first thing in the morning. Source Source 2
I love you Samson
Said to be one of the most haunted roads in the world, Shades of Death Road is a rural road of about seven miles in Warren County, New Jersey. It’s said that the road earned it’s name from the number of murders that have taken place on the road. On the southern half of the road is a forest on the outskirts; this forest provided shade for the bandits that would lay in wait for their victims in this shade, slashing their throats and robbing them as they approached. The town would get revenge on these bandits by lynching them and leaving their bodies swinging from the trees on the road as a warning sign to other criminals. Throughout the 1920′s and 1930′s, there was a string of heinous murders along this road, with the bodies often being disposed of around the road. Due to the many twists and turns of the road, it’s said that there have been a number of deadly car accidents.
Shades of Death Road is reported to be extremely haunted and has a number of paranormal landmarks. Ghost Lake, later to be renamed Haunted Hollow, was created in the early 20th century. It was given the name Ghost Lake due to the vapour formations seen rising from the lake. The Fairy Hole is a small cave that was once used by Lenape Indians. Lanape Lake is another lake which runs easward off Shades of Death Road; beside it stands an abandoned stable. Locals say that if you visit the stable at night, there are an abundance of frogs surrounding it and quite often, you can catch a glimpse of an apparition. The air is said to be bizarrely chilly. Another legend says that if you stop your car past midnight, with full beams on, on the bridge on Old Mine Road, and honk your horn three times, the ghost of two young children will appear.

I love this movie, totally recommend it.
This footage shows a humanoid-like entity attempting to crawl into the bed of this woman. The woman apparently said that she has been hearing noises in her bedroom at night for weeks so she set up a camera, and the footage she got is unexplainable. (x)
