To the mun: Do you have any personal headcannons about the nature of Kanto or what happened to him? Or is this a realm you think is irrelevant? :)

// I think that, within the narrative of Lin's story, it's irrelevant. She never had a father, and she turned out just as badass without one. She obviously hated not having a father, but I think she had some pretty strong father figures in Sokka and especially Aang.

That doesn't mean that I don't have headcanons. I honestly think that he doesn't know about Lin, that he and Toph broke it off before she knew she was pregnant, and she never saw the need or the desire to tell him. Whatever happened between them, it broke her heart enough that she wanted nothing to do with him. And, of course, he thought that she could raise a baby on her own.

I think if Kanto knew, he would have reached out to Lin. He might have found out Toph had kids, but didn't know how to ask if either of them were his. Or, he cut off all contact after they broke up. 

Basically, I think Toph and Kanto's story was more dramatic than she ever talks about. I kind of want to write about it. I might, soon.

Headcanon:

No one besides Lin and her family know how she actually got her scars.

She has a handful of made up stories she'll tell, ranging from getting attacked by a platypus bear, to single-handedly taking out the Terra Triad. No matter what her story, it terrifies the poor rookie who dared ask.

At 14 I would have been blogging about Yu-Gi-Oh. It... Was my first real online fandom, actually, and I did blog about it a little on my xanga >.> I was a little weeaboo shit baby basically.

Lin, on the other hand, would blog about how frustrated she was with her family, how much she preferred spending time at her Aunts, and that one stupid CSI - like show she liked too much.

Headcanon

Once, a group of officers actually managed to pull a solid prank on Lin, a nearly impossible task.

In lieu of a retaliation prank, Lin was just really, terrifyingly nice to them for about a week. Seeing them nearly piss themselves each time she smiled was enough revenge for her.

Since we're sharing muse birthdays, I'd like to remind you that Lin's is January 14th. She isn't a fan of her birthday, but her sister will probably be making her celebrate anyway.
