Tonight my brain has gone from researching the architecture of Colonial business buildings to maps of Colonial cities to wharfs of Colonial cities to trade and mercantilism after the American Revolution to trade with France during the Federalist Era to the French Revolution to the spread of French fashion during the French Revolution to Fashion in general during the French Revolution/Federalist Era to a German lady’s magazine to finding said magazine on Google Books to harvesting fashion plates and posting them on my Georgian/Regency research Pinterest.

This is why I can’t get writing done.
