Once again, Linde Cares
In December, another successful Giving Tree project provided gifts for 59 New Jersey children.
The project, a collaborative effort between Linde Cares and the United Way of Union County, benefited three United Way organizations: The YWCA of Eastern Union County, the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless and the Urban League.
As part of this project, United Way finds out what gifts the children are wishing for and passes that information along to Linde Cares. Linde employees then shop for specific gifts, adding a personal touch to many Christmas celebrations in needy homes.
“As always, our employees go the extra mile to make sure these children who, without assistance from organizations like United Way and companies like Linde, may not receive much of anything for the holidays,” said Senior Executive Assistant Donna McGillivary, who chairs the program for Linde Cares. “It continues to amaze me how much effort our employees put into finding the gifts the children want each year. One individual told me he and his wife went to many different stores until they found a wagon one child wanted.”
The Linde Cares committee would like to extend its thanks to everyone who contributed and/or volunteered their time for this very program.
