Ugh college. I was already going to need 5 years to graduate because I switched my major so many times (which is on me), but then when I went to apply for graduation they messed up my transcripts and told me I would have to retake some courses to get those credits back. And now I've had to come back for an entire year, which is not cheap for me. Money was already tight for me and my family when I was within my planned college years. So let me just say, I FEEL YOU AND YOUR PAIN.

i mean it's not so dire for me because university is very cheap here (well it's expensive enough for my mother to finish the month with 5€ but that's anothr story) but still they are just making it very difficult to be motivated and enthusiastic. i was already making compromises because i'll be working at the same time this year but i was taking comfort in the idea that at least i have those few classes that i like and that will help me on my way to study what i really want but now they've taken that away and i'm just left with studies i hate and a job that will keep me from focusing 100% on them. that's just bs man.
I'm not saying it's your fault I had to explain to my roommate why I was just sobbing my eyes out, but you're the one who reblogged the Velveteen Rabbit excerpt....

This is probably my favorite thing about best friends. That you can not see them or talk to them for months, but they still get you and you can still fall back into step with each other so easily.
Very true! We've also known each other for YEARS so that makes it easy to fall back into step, haha. I mean, when she flies back from London to go see the sixth Harry Potter movie with me and we arrive in full cosplay at the theater on a random Saturday afternoon simply because it's tradition and who-the-fuck cares it's not the midnight release, you know it's BFF.
