That night...

Alexandra is walking back to Jaisnt's home after spending some time with Merlee for the last couple of days. She's actually glad to finally become friends with her even though it took a while for the human to fully understand the whole magic thing. With positive vibes surrounding her, she finally got to Jaisnt's home, unlocking and opening the door only to be met by darkness. "What the? Why is it so dark?" She muttered to herself, feeling at the walls as she tries to find a light switch of some kind only to be surprised by the lights turning on and to suddenly be cornered by a large group of people. "What?!"

"Happy wriggling day, Alex!" Everyone said, including Jaisnt.

Alexandra raised her brow. "What's that?"

Like that, everyone was silent muttering to each other as one of Jaisnt's friends became more audible. "You forgot to tell her?!"

"Um... uh... shit. To us, it's basically when we're born? Which is your... uh..." Jaisnt tried to explain.

It took a moment for Alexandra to think about, piecing it together. "Born... my birthday... OH! My birthday!"

Everyone agreed as they all clapped, the human now feeling a bit overwhelmed from this but ecstatic nonetheless. Alexandra walked up to Jaisnt, hugging him as he was not prepared from this and just accepted it, wrapping his arms around her to return the favor.

The human pulled away from him, smiling. "You remembered!"

"Well, I have a shit memory overall. But... yeah. I remembered." He responded.

"So... you told everyone who I am?"

"Yes."

"And they're all... okay with-"

"Alex. It's fine. Trust me. They're my friends. I trust them and they trust me. We've all known each other for a long time. Happy wriggling day... or birthday... whatever you humans call it."

Both laughed as everyone cheered, the rest of the night has been chatter, everyone catching up and introducing one another to Zenira and Varani. Alexandra was surprised by the amount of people that Jaisnt is friends with. All of them unique in their own way as she walked around the living as she eavesdropped on conversations. "So what did you do, next, Nex?" Linith says as both she and Serena became intrigued by the story Nexono was talking about.

"So this guy, big guy. Muscular or some shite, came up to me and was like oy! What the hell ya doin causin a ruckus in me bar. Or some crap like that. I just wailed on him, not a single punch even flinched him until I backed him up enough that he slipped on a bottle that was on the floor and fell, breaking his back. Everyone laughed and... oh shite it was damn funny!" Nexono finished as the two girls just let out a sigh of disappointment.

Alexandra then came across Jaisnt speaking with his friends Claire and Taline, seems to be talking about others that hasn't shown up. "So what about Verrex and Protes? Heard from them?" Jaisnt asked.

"Sorry, Jai." Claire answered. "They couldn't make it."

"Yeah. Protes said that he had some important tournament he needed to attend and Verrex... uh... fuck. I don't know. He's mysterious but he said he couldn't make it either. Didn't say why." Taline added.

"What about Ulyino?"

"Jai, you know how he is." Claire began to explain. "Ever since he opened a restaurant, he's been focusing on that. It's his business."

"Right... sorry."

"Hey, Jai, don't feel bad. We know that you wanted to have everyone together again for this moment." Claire says as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "We missed you and the time we all have together. Especially meeting your new friends."

Jaisnt smiled a little, slightly nodding as Alexandra began to turn to Janyse speaking with Varani and Zenira.

"So... you can't see?" Janyse asked Varani.

"That is correct though, weirdly enough, I am able to make out outlines of people's auras." Varani explained. "It is the only way I am able to "see" so to speak. It's quite complicated but I am unable to make out detailed features."

"Hmm..." Janyse then turned towards Zenira. "And you're a mute?"

Zenira nodded but then hesitated a bit, putting her hand out flat and twist it back and forth as a "sort of" and then pulled out a piece of paper, writing on it and showed it to her. "I am able to talk but I just choose not to because of my accent."

"Hmm... fair enough." Janyse finished.

Alexandra couldn't help but chuckle from the conversation. She's surprised by the amount of friends Jaisnt has that are girls. Apparently there seems to be only a few male friends he has excluding one, which he has talked about, that used to be his friend but complication ensued that terminated their trust. The human was about to walk to Jaisnt to speak with him but heard a couple of knocks at his door. "I'll get it!" Alex called out, walking to the door and opening it to be surprised by both Merlee and Amorra. "Merlee!"

"Hey. Jaisnt called me." The red blood shyly waved.

"And also me!" Amorra added, hugging the human.

Alexandra smiled, greeting both of them and brought them inside until she sees another troll standing in front of the doorway. "Oh hello."

"Uh... hi... name's Lensee." She answered, rubbing her left arm with her right hand nervously. "I'm... Jaisnt's friend." The brown blood stood there awkwardly.

"Oh, well come in! A friend of Jaisnt's is a friend of mine!" Alexandra smiled as the brown blood hesitated but slowly walked inside as the human closed the door behind her.

Throughout the rest of the night, everyone was having fun, talking, laughing, something that Alexandra hasn't experienced for as long as she can remember. She felt like a normal person, not surrounding herself with tubes, beakers, lab equipment, and worrying about becoming the next scientist on some magazine cover for some discovery she has made. This was something she needed. Not long that Merlee lured the human off to the side and began to speak with her.

"Hey, so I have made progress on the spell." Merlee began to explain the plan they have started to set in motion.

"You have?!" Alexandra was excited for this news.

"Yes. I have practiced immensely with the spell and have also gathered the necessary items that will help aid me to bring you back." Merlee says. "I never done a spell like this, bringing someone across galaxies. The more stuff to help build up my energy, the better your chances of going back home... and seeing your mother."

Alexandra wanted to cry but held back the tears and instead hugged the red blood. "Thank you so much, Merlee! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Merlee merely smiled, hugging her back and pulled away. "Go enjoy your party. You deserve it."

Alexandra nodded, going back to chat with everyone else. A couple hours later, she finally went to Jaisnt, taking him outside of his home to escape the immense amount of people for a while, get some fresh air and some space. "This was really nice what you did for me." She said to the blue blood.

"Well... it's the least I can do." He responded. "You've been... a good friend to me for the time being that you've been here on Alternia. Even helped me get out of the funky mood I was in for a good while."

"It's the least I can do." Alexandra then looked up at the sky, seeing the two moons and the stars shining brightly. "They're great people."

"Hmm?"

"Your friends. They're good people. I can tell."

"Thanks... it wasn't me that formed the group. I don't remember who did it, but since then, we've all just stuck together growing up. Except for Nexono. He can be a bit... eh... every once and a while. He gets in a shit ton of fights now but, hey, it's his life style."

Alexandra laughed as they both became silent. For a moment, she wondered if this was the best time to finally admit it until she felt a hand on her shoulder, turning to look at Jaisnt. "What is it?"

"There's been... something I have been wanting to ask you... but first I want to give you this." He went through his pocket and pulled out a silver necklace with ruby gems on it, handing it to her.

"Oh my gosh! It's beautiful!" She puts it around her neck, smiling widely. "You shouldn't have bought it..."

"I... I didn't. I made it."

"What?! You make jewelry?!"

"Every once and a while. Some of the gems I find aren't always used to power the weapons I make or whatever. Sometimes I use them for jewelry I make when I have some left over scrap."

"It's lovely! Thank you so much!"

"Yeah... and... this may sound weird, coming from someone that is basically an alien to you... but... uh... I... I-I love you."

The news came to a shock to her, not fully expecting something like this. Alexandra was speechless, standing there quietly as Jaisnt looked nervous, wondering what he said was done poorly. He began rambling, trying to take back what he said, figuring it wasn't the right time or maybe he should not have said it at all considering she and her are entirely different in species. Alexandra just placed a finger on her lip, gesturing him to quiet down as he did so. She then slowly leaned close to him that her face was a good inch away from his as he was confused by this until the human suddenly kissed him, lasting what felt like an eternity. She then pulled away, smiling. "I don't care if you and I aren't the same species or whatever. Love is love, right? How do you say it... matespritship... right?"

Jaisnt was still shocked by the sudden kiss until finally answering. "Um... yeah!"

Alexandra shook her head but laughed from his response. "You have not done this in a while, huh?"

"It's... been a while."

"Then it's good to have a fresh start." She pecked him on the lips, hugging him. "I love you, Jai. Thank you so much this day."

"I love you too and you're welcome." Jaisnt smiled, both hugging under the starry night sky

Three girls chatting

"Hahaha! So I told the fucking guy, 'Hey, I gotta get paid if you want me to take out this dick head for you! Just cause we banged doesn't mean it's free. Life ain't free and shit!'" Laxine said to Linith and Hexina as all three of them sat around a table.

"Wow. What an asshole." Linith responded.

"How did you manage to deal with all that during your time as a mercenary?" Hexina curiously asked. "Seems stressful and annoying depending on the person."

"Well, just because I look odd for doing the whole merc thing doesn't mean I can be mean myself and BOY, do I get fucking mean. Trust me. I met a lot of assholes whenever I get hired to take out some basic shmuck." Laxine answered and began to into more detail. "I mean, some try to lower their pay for me depending on who the hell I'm supposed to take out for them. Shit always got annoying when that happens. It's like, I'm busting my ass to find your asshole and YOU try to lower the pay because I took too long or I didn't do some specific shit for you? This is real life. Not some video game! And sometimes the person I have to take out are NOT easy to take out. Not like hand-to-hand combat. That's like a fucking cake walk. But catching them is a BITCH."

"Jeez." Both Linith and Hexina merely responded. "Well, at least you quit that job." Hexina says joyfully with a smile.

"Yeah... that and I know a lot of people were getting worried about me whenever I come out with some new cuts or bruises... I kinda scared Val one time because I was fucked up... god that sucked... but he was a fucking sweet heart helping me out while I recovered." Laxine smiled a little, reminecing on that day.

"Aww~" Hexina widely smiled. "You're so lucky to have mate like that! How about you, Linith~?"

"Hm?" Linith surprised by the question. "Well, I love my mate. I don't get myself into any danger. Unless something goes wrong with my science experiments, which I try my best to not happen AGAIN, but otherwise, I'm careful to not worry Hubrii."

"Ooooh! What's she like?" Hexina asked the red blood with glee.

"Yeah. You don't talk about her and shit whenever we have these conversations." Laxine added, grinning.

"Well, you guys never asked." Linith answered. "But... well, she's nice. Really, really nice. I fucking love her to death. I would never thought that I would fall in love with her and I started out as her slave when I met her... sort of."

"Sort of?" Laxine said with a puzzled expression.

"It was weird in the beginning... I mean, she IS a sea dweller." Linith tried to explain the best she could. "Back then I was not myself. I was dealing with some heavy shit and sex was the one of the things to make me forget about the situation I put myself in. When I met Hubrii... it literally changed. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't met her. Probably dealing with the same crap I was dealing with before. She means everything to me and she does so much for me... I was once, sort of, a slave for her but now I'm her matesprit and she sorta spoils me with a lot of stuff... I always wonder if I don't deserve her or the things she does for me. It sometimes seems like a dream, you know?"

"Hmm." Hexina thought as Laxine stayed quiet. "Well, you should be thankful that you have someone that loves and cares for you! Everyone deserves happiness in one way or another, at least that's what I believe." Hexina smiles as she talks. "I believe that if said person is going through some struggle that they can't handle, then it's fate for them to meet someone to help them forget all about their worries and problems and become stress free and happy~!"

"You always know how to turn something positive, huh Hexi?" Linith smiled as she rests her cheek on her hand.

"Hexina is always fucking happy. She's smiling all the time." Laxine said jokingly with a chuckle. "Well, how about you, Hexi~?"

"Hmm? Me?" The blue blood was confused, pointing at herself. "Me what?"

"Do you got anyone you like?" The teal blood reiterated.

"Yeah!" Linith added. "Anyone you fancy~?"

"Um... no. Not really." Hexina merely answered as both the red and teal blood were surprised by this.

"What?!" Said Linith.

"I expected you to actually find someone considering how cheery you are." Laxine merely says.

"I don't know." Hexina says. "Huh... I don't think about this a whole lot. I meet some attractive trolls every once and a while but I never thought about actually falling in love with them. I never think about love. There's times I see a troll and I'd think 'Oh wow! She or he is beautiful or handsome!' or 'Holy crap! They're freaking hot!' but... never instantly felt that spark, I guess... does that make sense? I hope that makes sense! I always complexly explain things sometimes." The blue blood smiled sheepishly as she scratches the back of her head in embarrassment.

"Hmm... no that makes sense." Linith says.

"Yup." Laxine added.

"Really?" Hexina sounded surprised by the responses.

"Well, I mean, I have met a bunch of guys and gals, too." The teal blood spoke, continuing. "I just like fucking sex overall but a lot of them I never found that spark where I love, LOVE them, ya know? There was my ex, but turned out to be an asshole, and then Valter. I still go around getting in people's pants but I still love Valter to death."

"It's the same with me, in some way." Linith added herself in with a mere smile.

"So don't fret on that too much, alright?" Laxine grins. "You'll find someone. And trust me. When ya do, SPARKS~!"

"Hm..." Hexina hummed to herself as both Laxine and Linith began to talk as the blue blood drowned them out in her own thoughts. Through her sweeps of living, she never thought about love and now this was brought up, she feels like it's going to be something she'll constantly think about. She's a joyful troll. She merely cares about the happiness in everyone. That's still her even when she got all the cybernetic augments. Hexina WAS supposed to be used to infiltrate high ranked facilities for information but she never did that. She just needed to be her. The joyful, happy blue blood that's always smiling, meeting new people and bringing them happiness. Not once has she thought about ACTUAL love. 'Now this is going to bug me a bit.' She thought to herself. 'I should have never mentioned that lovey dovey stuff.'

A small visit

It has been a long time since Xanoys has last seen Linith. Since then, the yellow blood took on an entirely new image thanks to some advice from her friend, albeit it was the opposite of what was recommended. Nonetheless, she's happy with her new look and hopefully she'll be able to find something who'd be willing to hire her.

Arriving at Linith's hive, she knocked on the door and called out to the red blooded scientist. "Linith? Are you there? It's me! Xanoys!" Waiting for a moment, Xanoys turned around and leaned next to the front door as she taps her foot on the ground. She was about ready to knock again but the door opened very quickly and she was immediately pulled inside.

"XANOYS! Thank god that you arrived!" Linith said with pure excitement as she nearly drags the poor, defenseless girl to her facility.

"Jeez! Slow down! What's the hurry all of a sudden?!"

"Have you not gotten my text messages?! I tried calling you, but you haven't answered and I literally got worried about you!" Linith exclaimed. "There was something I have been wanting to tell you!"

"You tried to get in touch with me?" The yellow blood was put into an elevator as both of them went down to Linith's lab as she thinks for a minute. "Ah, crap! I forgot that I switched phones. My last one... uh... I broke it. Though I don't know how. I was holding it and it just... sorta melted?"

The mention of this, Linith literally turned to Xanoys with sparkles in her eyes as she just grinned at her. "Melted you say?" Out of nowhere, the red blood squeeled happily which pierced Xanoys' ears enough to make her wince slightly. "Your psiionics are coming out more and more by the day, so it seems. Oh yeah! You got psiionic abilities! Congratulations!"

The elevator came to a halt as they reached Linith's lab while Xanoys was speechless from what was told to her. "Wh-wha... what?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out and follow me, okay!" The red blood was too excited for this moment as she walked over to the testing area that she uses for Xanoys as the yellow blood followed.

"I think you got it wrong, Lin. I-I don't have... powers or what have you! I'm just... I'm just me and that's that!"

"Yes, it isn't rare for most trolls to not have psiionics, which is why I had you train in close quarter combat and not the other stuff. BUT! It is quite interesting, so to speak, that some trolls, fully developed and not having any psiionics growing up to adulthood, can later on just have psiionics out of nowhere by just weird circumstance! Here, let me show you!" Linith takes out her laptop, placing it in front of her and Xanoys which showed a video of Xanoys' training session, but alongside of the video is the temperature gauge. "I completely forgot that I had the temperature measurement on while you were training, but I want you see that with each punch you make on the punching bag, the numbers jump at high temperatures!"

Linith plays the video as Xanoys watches. Each punch, the numbers jump from zero to ninety-eight degrees fahrenheit. "What...? From my hands? But... but how?"

"I'll let the video play, but, let me just tell you, that you should be proud of it! As I said, it's a bit rare for trolls to develop psiionics when they are adults. One example I can give is myself. I have pyrokinesis though I never had it to begin with. Sometimes the spark of gaining psiionics are unknown, but often have to do with circumstances. How I got mine, I tried to be one of those fire twirlers, I screwed up, nearly burned myself, but some chain reaction happened between me and the fire that I suddenly combusted the area around me. Ever since then, I learned to use my power. You are different and I have a hypothesis that you, too, have pyrokinesis but handled quite differently. Since I had you train in CQC, it seems that your psiionics are tied between it, meaning they react when you make impact against something."

Xanoys was overwhelmed by this knowledge that she was speechless, not knowing what to say. "So... I punch or kick something... and fire happens for a split second?"

"Precisely!" Linith paused the video and began to put in some data into her computer. "Now that you know that you got psiionics, we are going to continue training but we will have you gain control of your ability. That way you don't accidentally give someone third-degree burns when landing a punch. Head on in the training box, once you're ready!"

"I guess you're right... that would be helpful." Xanoys is still trying to process all of the information given to her. "Me... having powers..." She muttered to herself as she heads inside the training box for another batch of testing.

"Alright... and... start!"

Hang out

It is the middle of the day as Laxine lies asleep on her bed. At least lying asleep in an awkward position. That ended as her phone rings as she gets startled by it, falling off her bed as she let out a grunt when she hit the floor. "Ow... fuck... that hurts." Extending her arm to search for her phone in the position she's in, she eventually found it under her bed and turned her head to see who would be calling. It is Hexina. She hasn't talked to her in a long time.

She answered. "Uh... hello?"

"Laxine! Are you there? Are you awake? Did I disturb you at a very bad time? Anyways how are you, Laxine, my dear old friend?!" Hexina says excitingly.

"I'm doing alright, Hexi. And... I'm awake now. So what's up?" Laxine moves herself into a sitting position to be comfortable while she rubbed her head from when she hit the floor.

"Oh! I called because I wondered if you wish to participate in some fun activities with me and Linith! We both thought we'd go to a stripper club as a chance for us to all get together as a big reunion!"

"Oh~? A stripper club? Well, why the hell not?"

"Yay! We will arrive at your residence as soon as we can! Be sure to freshen up and get yourself ready."

"Got it, Hexi. See you later." Hanging up, she leaves her phone on the dresser as she got up stretching and yawning a bit.

She grabbed some towels and walked out of her room while lazily taking off whatever clothes she still had on, heading to the bathroom. After a couple of minutes of showering, she got out, drying herself off and headed back to her room and to her closet, thinking on what to wear. "Hmm. Let's see... what to wear, what to wear." Tapping her chin for a moment as she finally decided. Putting on the clothes she picked she looked over at herself in the mirror and smiled. "Nice! Showing lots of ass with this skirt~"

Heading downstairs, she goes to the kitchen and fills up a glass with water, drinking it as she sits and texts her mate while she wait for the girls to arrive. An hour later, she hears knocking on the door, assuming it must be Hexina and Linith. Getting off of the chair and opening the door, she is greeted with a hug from Hexina. "Laxine! My friend it has been so long since I have last seen you it has almost felt like an eternity!" Hexina excitedly says.

"Hey, Hexina. Missed ya, too." Laxine looked over to seeing Linith standing outside the doorway as she waved at her and she returned the favor. "Sup, Lin."

"Nothing much. Good to see you again." Linith smiled as she noticed that Hexina hasn't let go yet. Rolling her eyes, she reached over and pulled Hexina away. "Alright, miss cyborg. I think she got the message."

"Laxine! Are you fairing well? Have you hydrated yourself to where you might be okay upon the arrival of the stripper club?" Hexina asked.

"Yes, Hexina." Laxine answered. "I'm fine to go to the club. You don't need to worry about me. I know how to take care of myself, jeez."

"I only wish to look out for my friends and to make sure they are in good condition to be out and about." The blue blood replied. "But I'm happy that you are doing good~ Let's go!" As she says that, she runs off as Laxine and Linith just stood in the same positions they have been and just looked at each other, both shrugging and followed the cyborg girl.

The three of them talked as they walked to the club, catching up on things after a long hiatus that Laxine commenced for who knows how long. It's good to be out, getting fresh air and talking to her friends again. She missed it. All three arrived at the club and headed inside to seeing some strippers doing their thing on the poles. Hexina got excited, already pulling out money and ran to throw them at the strippers as Laxine and Linith head to a bar, ordering some drinks for themselves.

"So how have you been, Lin?" Laxine asked."

"I've been doing okay. Just busy with science shit. You know how it is."

"Yeah... forgot you deal with all that biz. Too confusing for me to deal with numbers, equations, chemicals and all that crap."

"How about you and your mate?"

"Oh, uh, he's a big 'ol octopus... thingy...?" Thinking for a moment, Laxine just answered it in the most simplest way possible. "His lower half is literally tentacles like an octopus."

"Woah, I bet he's good in bed."

"Oh hell yes~ He's fucking good in bed and his dick is like... UNF... pure fucking bliss. Anyways, how about your mate? How's she been?"

"Um... I uh... don't know."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I don't know. We haven't talked in a while..."

"When was the last time you talked to her?"

"It was during the time she took me to her other home for a vacation. I stayed there with her for a couple of weeks." The red blood rubbed the back of her neck, seeing her drink arrived and drank it, setting the glass down on the bar counter. "I'm actually... a bit worried. More so about her and wondering if I might... not be so interesting to her anymore. I mean... I was once like you! Just hopping onto every dick, but that was because of some heavy stuff I wanted to repress though it didn't help well. Then she came into my life and she was everything to me. She still is! Though now... I feel like I might not be good enough for her anymore. I mean... what if she just left me and, and, and without telling me because I might not be good enough for her?!"

"Woah, woah, woah. Calm down, Lin" Laxine placed a hand on her shoulder, comforting Linith. "Don't think that stupid crap. I'm sure she still loves you. Be patient and she'll come around eventually and if not, go to her and find out for yourself. If you love her that much, then, shit, go to her. Fucking hug her and never let go. Alright?"

"I guess. Thanks, Lax." Linith smiled. "You are always optimistic, you know that?"

"Hey! Thinking good vibes helps. Even dirty optimism gets the guys hard as fuck~ If you know what I'm sayin'?"

"I don't think that makes any sense."

"Eh, it doesn't have to. Just know I'm always happy and nothing ruins that shit! Cause when I'm happy, I get down and dirty! I'm hitting up those private rooms~! Go and have fun~ Dance or some shit like that. Throw some money at those strippers." Getting off of the stool, Laxine walked passed Linith as the red blood gives a playful slap on the Laxine's ass. Laxine turned around to seeing Lintih giving an innocent shrug. The teal blood just grinned and walked off, going over to a stripped and leads her to one of the private rooms.

Sitting on a chair, she puts money down on the table next ot her as the stripper began to do a lap dance in front of her. "Holy shit... such a nice ass~" The women turned around to face Laxine, giving her a wink.

"Aren't you a cutie~ You look sexy enough to be around those poles there on stage." The women said, turning around as she swayed her hips in front of the teal blood.

"Trust me. It isn't the first time I was told that. Keep shaking that wonderful ass of yours, sexy~" Laxine smirked. "God I wish I had a dick. I'd totally be jacking off right now..."

"Hey, you should call me and maybe we can have some fun together some time~" The girl got on Laxine's lap, softly grinding on her as the teal blood attempted to go and grab the girl's breasts but had her hands gently pulled away and had her head turned to a sign on a wall. "No touching. Only watch." The girl got off Laxine's lap and giggled. "Nice try, cutie~"

Laxine laughed a little until she heard a familiar voice from outside the room. Staying very still, she listened closely and recognized a voice she hasn't heard in a long time. 'It couldn't be...' She thought. 'Jalone? Here?' Laxine gets up from the chair, opening the door and looking down the hallway and then the other end to seeing a familiar hair style walk by. "Hey! Didn't you not like-"

"I'm sorry! I really did like it!" The teal blood pulled out some more money and placed it on the table. "I'll see you in a bit maybe, okay? Bye for now!" Laxine ran out, looking over the small crowd of trolls to spot the horns of Jalone. Seeing them, she quickly chased after him until seeing him exiting the club. Going out the doors, she looked right, not seeing him until looking left to spot him. Walked for a while as Laxine followed him, but kept her distance from him. 'Why was he in the club?' Laxine thinks for a moment as she's following him. 'He doesn't do clubs. He's too fancy for that...'

Jalone finally turned a corner and headed to an alley as Laxine followed behind him, slowly and quietly, not wanting to make attention of herself. She sees him in the middle of the alleyway as she slowly walks behind a dumpster, waiting to see what will happen. 'Why are you here, you asshole?' She thought. After a couple of minutes, some other trolls came to visit him.

"What's the update?" The trolls said to Jalone.

"Our girls that went out to look for the red blood did confirm that she works at some cafe." Jalone says. "I want you to inform Morrin about this. He'll have Merlee soon enough."

Merlee? Why does that name sound familiar to her? Thinking for a moment, she finally remembered that one party that was held by a red blood in the middle of the woods. Laxine and Hexina were invited to the party. What does Jalone want with Merlee? Does he want to make her into his slave? The same thing he wanted to do to Laxine when he came back to visit her that one time? So many questions. Perhaps it might be best to warn Merlee about it and maybe make an offer with her. Laxine still hated him. She hates him with all her being and that day when she kicked him in the gut wasn't enough. No. She wants to make him suffer. Walking out of the alleyway, she makes her way back to the club but still lost in thought from the information she heard.

"Jalone..." She whispers to herself. "This time, you're not gonna leave my sight and I will end your fucking life. Once. And. For. All."

Pure science

Knocking on the door. Multiple times that anyone can count in the span of three minutes. Alexandra got up, hearing the knocks on the door, already getting annoyed by it but wondering why someone would come to Jaisnt's house. Going to the intercom that was next to the front door, she pressed the button and began to speak. "Hello? Who is it?"

"Oh! This is a new voice. Are you Alexandra? The human? I'm a friend of Jaisnt and I came by to drop something off!" They replied back.

A friend of Jaisnt? How many friends does he have? Then again, she doesn't know all of his friends currently other than the ones she has met, or has befriended him in the midst of her. Opening the door, she was greeted with a girl with a crazed, but, joyful look on her face as she quickly stepped in, taking a look at Alex. "Holy shit! He wasn't kidding! You are nothing like us!" The troll quickly grabbed the human's hand, extending her arm and caressed it, feeling the texture of Alex's skin. "Hmm... relatively normal skin texture albeit the color is quite beige in a way. More close to pink." She then pulled out a flash light, shining it in front of Alex's eyes as she was quickly blinded by them. She was ready to say something but was then cut off from the troll's rambling. "Blue eyes, bright, and light. Maybe could be consistent of what could be on the inside..." And the final part was pricking the human's skin with a needle that the troll carries with her, watching the small drop of red blood coming out from the human's finger. "And exactly that, you are indeed human!"

"Hey! Ever heard of personal space?!" Alex yelled.

"Oh... yeah. Sorry! Shit, what are my manners. My name is Linith Dimava. I'm a scientist. I got excited from what Jaisnt told me that I HAD to come and take a look for myself... and do a quick examination."

"Well, I can tell you that this is all you're going to look at... but it's great to meet another scientist." Alex smiled a little. "But Jesus Christ... why do you even have a needle with you?"

"You can never be too sure if you really need one... that and I just remembered having it in my pocket from the last time I used it for my experiments... it is sterilized!"

"You are a weird kind of troll."

"And you are a human stuck in a world where there's hostile species. I came here to meet you... and to give you something that me and Jaisnt have been working up." Linith searched through her pocket, pulling out a metal chip that was almost the size of her palm. "Jaisnt told me of your little adventure out in the city and almost biffing it."

"Ha ha... asshole... so what the hell is that supposed to do?" Alexandra asked but not too confident of what's being shown to her.

"You need a disguise, but obviously you don't want to go through the hassle of putting on make up, getting fake horns and all that stupid crap, right?"

"Uh... yeah! It's a lot of work and it would seem monotonous if I have to keep doing that every day."

"Exactly my thought. So I gave Jaisnt an idea that maybe with his brilliant inventing, and my excellent mind of science, that we can make you something that would able you to change your appearance, minor, without all that hassle. First, I'm going to need you to turn around."

Alex raised a brow, confused from this though she complied and turned around, having her back facing Linith.

"Now, your gonna feel a slight sting... and maybe feel a bit woozy for a quick second, but I assure you that this won't harm you in any way, shape, or form." Linith tugged a bit on the human's shirt, placing the metal chip on her bare back which connects her spine as tiny needles retracted and embedded into her skin. Alex flinched as she felt the needles and almost fell as she was seeing her vision becoming blurry for a moment.

"Okay... so what now?" Alex said until she was caught off guard as the chip retracted out, extending an arm that hovered above her head and then lasers shined all over her body. "What the fuck is going on?!"

"This chip pretty much reads off your body through lasers. It reads your brain that connects to your nervous system, which the needles are connected to on your spine. Once that's done..." And soon enough the human's body began to change, her skin becoming grey and horns appearing on her head. "... It grants you the body of what we look like. Mostly the horns and, if you want to become a sea dweller, fins or gills."

Alexandra examined her skin and then touched the top of her head where the horns are, feeling them. "Please tell me this is not permanent."

"It's not. You are still you. Think of this as some of kind high level illusion using cutting edge science. The horns may seem real, may feel real, but they're not real in some sense. It's pretty much the chip on your back that's doing the work for you to look like the way we do. Here's the best part." Linith pulled out a tablet, showing it to the human as she's seeing a full body image of the human from head to toe. "This is you in troll form. Jaisnt designed this program which would allow you to change whatever you want on appearance horn and sea dweller-wise."

"Wow... this is... really nice of you to do... and Jaisnt, too..." Alexandra takes a look at the program, looking at the horns she has right and touched the screen, editing the horns to not look completely ridiculous and she can even see, from the reflection on the screen, that it is changing what's she's doing in the program. "Holy crap! This... this is amazing!"

"Another neat thing about this is that whenever you're not in public, or near any trolls, you can disable the program and you'll have your normal human skin without horns and all the other stuff."

"Thank you so much. This is really amazing, Linith."

"Thank Jai. He's looking out for you. Let me just tell you one thing, but I'm sure he told you at some point. We are violent people, but some of us want to be peaceful and often times help others that deserve it."

"Yeah... I think he told me something similar to that. Oh... my name is Alexandra... Alexandra Pyrite." The human said, almost forgetting to give her name even after all this.

"Pyrite... that's a name of a-"

"Type of rock. Yeah. On my father's side. He's a scientist like me and that's why I became one."

"Hmm... you have to tell me that story some day. I'd be interested to listen on everything that is human related. But, for now, you don't have to worry about going out in public! You might have to change your first name though... shrink it down to six letters. Anyway, where the hell is Jaisnt?"

"Oh! He's at his shop."

"Well, thank you, miss-"

"You can call me Alex... or Alexa. Whichever you want. I really don't mind."

Linith smiled, nodding to her. "Alright. Thank you, Alex. I hope to see you next time!" The red blood turned and walked away, waving to her as Alex stood and smiled from the generosity that was bestowed to her.

Closing the door, she was then greeted by Zenira, startling her for a moment. "Holy shit! You nearly gave me a heart attack Ze..." Zenira frowned and gestured to her in a apologetic way. "It's okay... I know you didn't mean it. Anyway... what do you think? I look just like you guys now!"

Zenira smiled, nodding to her. "You look nice."

Alex was shocked hearing her speak. She's a mute, right? "You... you can talk?"

"When I want to." The orange blood answered. "But I am still a mute either way."

"Huh... small world I live in. If you can speak, who taught you?"

"My lusus. Our guardians. They all consist of creatures, animals in the wild that gained the intelligence to raise trolls. Mine is spidermom. I was once feral, living off in the wild. I can still remember myself running through the forest butt naked with nothing but my bow and spear, hunting for food, gathering water. Funny how times change."

"That's really interesting..."

"It was. My lusus saw others that were different like me and decided to change my life. She began teaching me the language that all troll's speak. Overtime, I even took the liberty to even look at how troll's acted, how they dressed, how they are to others. Though... I'm still learning."

"I think Jaisnt told me the many stories of you breaking into other people's homes just to steal their food."

Zenira blushed, bowing her head to stare at the floor. "I was hungry! What am I supposed to do?! Starve?"

"It's alright. You're still learning, but I don't think you'll be able to learn the right way if you keep burglaring people's food. Hell, I don't think anyone has done that back on Earth. That just seems weird but partially funny."

"Right... does... your people also deal with anything that they can never explain?"

"Well, there's ghosts and all that, but there's always some rational or scientific explanation for those things."

"What about... magic?"

"Oh god. No. No. I don't want to get into-"

"So you don't believe in it." Zenira said, her words being serious and Alexandra can tell by just hearing and looking at her expression.

"I mean... a lot of things can be explained!"

"How can you explain something that you can never understand? What you can't comprehend?" Alex had nothing else to counter her argument. She was starting to even doubt herself on the whole subject of magic. "A while back... I found an idol. A strange looking one. I thought it would look nice to bring it home, but it broke and something came out of it. A soul. A dark, negative spirit. Ever since then, I keep getting dreams of me being my ancestor, as if I was seeing through her eyes. It's as if I'm peeking through her memories of when she was alive. There are often times I always think I see her in full form and whenever I look back, she's gone. Do you have a way to explain that? Possibly hallucination. Delusions maybe. But why would I have such things like that? I'm not on the brink of insanity nor have I taken anything that would cause me to hallucinate in any way. Alex... whether you want to deny it or even disprove it, magic is real. The super natural, witches, demons, mythical beings beyond our understanding. They're real. This is Alternia. Some day... you'll learn to believe it... but it's not going to be pleasant." Alex was frozen from Zenira's lecture. She didn't know what to even say or how to respond to something that was thrown at her suddenly. "Anyways... have a good evening. I'll be out practicing with my bow if you need me."

The orange blood walked out, leaving Alex alone as she is stuck taking in everything that was told to her. It can be explained, right? Magic doesn't exist. Though now she's not so sure after what Zenira told her and possibly a hint of a warning behind it. Perhaps she should forget it and consider it being something out of character from Zenira. Yes. Just something out of character. Possibly.

A hole left unfilled

Linith has everything she could want, but there's still something that she doesn't have or has closure. She walked throughout her laboratory and came up to her desk that had files on all sorts of things including one that she had kept since she could remember. Normally she would write notes on things she sees in case there's ever a need for her science on them and that also includes trolls. If anything were to happen to people she meets, she hopes that she can come up with something to help them.

There was one that she had an interest for. Eltera. She remembered first meeting her. An odd troll during her "phase" and yet Linith enjoyed being around her though annoying and angering her to the point they became kismesis'. After a while she didn't feel hate and thought maybe they could be something more after learning so much about her and what she has went through.

The only thing that Linith can remember is making her upset and she hasn't seen her since. "If you were here right now... god... I don't know what to even say. One.... I guess is sorry for messing with your emotions. I never meant to." She spoke to herself. "Eltera... during the times I have been with you, you have told me things that made me feel sorry for you even if I kept it secret because... well, the whole kismesis thing. I thought that maybe we can be moirails that I can help you, have the one person in your life that actually cared about you. But I guess I fucked up on many levels, huh? I... just want to say sorry... and I hope you accept it and we can move on with our lives. Though it's impossible to say that to you now because I don't know what happened to you since you disappeared."

Almost the real thing

Carefully walking through the woods, Xanoys finally spotted the clearing, finding the hive and a huge facility complex connected to it that's on top of a cliff. She hasn't seen Linith in a long time. During the time the red blood was absent, Xanoys has been training on her time, getting stronger, better, faster. Maybe she can impress Linith with how much she has improved.

Reaching up to the front entrance, she looks up at a camera and waves to it. She hopes the red blood still remembers her. It'd be upsetting to leave her hanging there for who knows how long. After a minute, a buzzer sounded off and the door opened by itself. Seems like Linith made some additions to her home while on this vacation of hers. "Miss Talisa!" A loud speaker came up. It was Linith speaking through it. "So glad to see you again. At this point, you pretty much know where to go. I'm waiting down here in the training area."

Wasting no time, Xanoys walked down through the normal looking hive until reaching a wall. A body scanner quickly reads Xanoys and the wall opened up like a door that leads to the facility complex that's connected to the hive. Walking down the hall, she reached to where Linith with a smile. "Hey, Linith. Good to see you again." Xanoys joyfully said. "How was your vacation?"

"Pretty nice! Get to lay back, spend time with my mate, nice view as well... in other places than one." Linith giggled to herself with a grin. "Anyways, let's start up with something interesting" She walks over to a large glass box with holographic projectors on the top. "This here is my latest invention... also was built by my friend Jaisnt. This is basically like a simulator. It'll project images of troll-like figures. They look and pretty much pack a hell of a fucking punch like... well, us!"

"Holy crap..." Xanoys says. "So if I'm like fighting actual people?"

"Yup! I've gone around and recorded every fighting style that I have seen, crunched all the numbers into the computer and it'll simulate how any troll would fight. Some are bare arms while others have some kind of psionics or whatever powers they can use at their disposal... including mine~"

"For real...? There's a simulated projection of your fighting style? Along with fire?"

"Pffft, fuck yes! And I'm going to tell you, this is as real as it gets. When those projections hit you, you'll feel it. If you face a projection using ice, you'll feel the coolness. When you face someone using fire, you'll feel the heat from the flames. Luckily, I made sure to take precautions. If I see you starting to get hurt real bad, I'll shut off the simulation like pulling the plug."

This was a lot to take in. Xanoys had merely been training with hitting pads that had a sensor in them for Linith to record the results. How hard the yellow blood hits, how fast can she throw punches, is she agile enough, many things of the sort. She wants to become stronger and damn it does she want that more than ever. Taking in a deep breath and exhaling, Xanoys puts on a confident posture, hands becoming fists. "Okay. I'm ready." She merely says.

"You know what to do. Step inside the simulation box." Linith says and gestures over to the entrance. The yellow blood walked inside and stood in the middle while Linith goes to the control board, punching in some key notes and numbers to start the process. Like she says, hologram projections appeared. Ten troll projections all varying in shapes and sizes. There was one that stood out the most, a huge, muscular troll projection. "Ready?" Linith said over the loudspeaker inside the box. Xanoys puts her fists up as the red blood began to countdown. "Three." The yellow blood looked at each troll, trying to figure out what they'll do right away. "Two." She doesn't know what to expect, but her best bet is to run, get some space and figure them out. "One." That's the plan for now. Quickly observe and take note on that. "And begin!"

Xanoys quickly rolled towards the ground as she hears a fireball wizzing by her as the projections begin to chase her. One of them had ice, building up an ice ramp as they glide on it to pick up speed towards her. Xanoys looked back to seeing another projection floating in mid-air, flying around with glowing energy on their hands. A specific power? It wasn't until the projection said some words she didn't understand as projections of rock spikes began to rise from the floor right in front of her at the direction she's running.

She jumped away, hearing another string of unknown words as projections of shadows suddenly appeared and risen from the ground, forming into spears as they dart at her direction. Xanoys quickly dodged them. A magic user. Linith wasn't kidding when she said there's a whole lot of fighting styles though magic was something the yellow blood didn't expect. Hearing the projection of the ice figure coming behind her, she turned around, elbowing the figure right on their face to knock them down.

As it fell, another projection came in, hands on fire as she kept moving away from the punches, feeling the intense heat coming from them. Xanoys dodged every swing until she notices the projection grinning and opened their mouths to breathe out a line of fire. Eyes widening from this sudden attack, Xanoys quickly ducked and rolled out of the range from the attack, behind the projection as she got up, landing a couple of punches to at least debilitate them for a while as she deals with the other projections.

Another came in, lightning sparking around them as they sprinted towards them and tried its best to electrocute Xanoys. She wasn't going to let it happen though as she kept her distance with every swipe of the projections hands. If possible, they could run out of energy, at least she's theorizing on how certain powers work. After a couple of swats at nothing later, the lightning around the projection dwindle down, like a battery using up all its juices on one task.

Xanoys smirked, seeing an opening and laid out a few punches to daze the projection, even going as far to detain it for a bit by having an arm around the figure's neck, grabbing their hand and pointed at a couple of other projections that were running towards her. The lightning figure used its power and electrocuted the other projections, chaining together from one to another. Once that was done, Xanoys quickly twisted the lightning figure's neck, taking them completely out of the picture which leaves the large, muscular projection, the fire using projection, and the magic wielder projection.

Xanoys raised her fists in front of her and charged straight at the large figure. Meanwhile, Linith record the data as she sees it appearing on the monitors in front of her including seeing the live footage of Xanoys. She hasn't been looking the whole time, but a temperature gauge has been on the whole time on one monitor and it always seem to spike when the yellow blood landed a hit. On the corner of the red blood's eye, she finally noticed it and raised a brow in confusion from this. "What the hell? Is it a glitch?" Observing the temperature gauge, she configures the video screen of Xanoys' fight and the temperature gauge to be in one monitor.

Her eyes wasn't playing tricks and there is no glitch in the system. Each consecutive hit Xanoys makes, the temperature would spike. Though why? Xanoys never mentioned any kind of power since she solely uses her shotgun gauntlets. It wasn't until she glanced at what was going on in Xanoys' end and sees her being overtaken by the projections. The large projection literally grabbed her like she was nothing and was ready to bring her down onto its knee. Linith gasped and quickly pressed the button, the projections disappearing which left Xanoys floating in mid-air for a second until falling five feet flat on her back to the ground. The yellow blood groaned in pain as Linith opened the door and quickly went to aid her. "Hey, are you okay? I'm so fucking sorry. I wasn't paying attention like I supposed to." Linith apologetically says.

"Fucking... hell." Xanoys only said. "You weren't kidding..."

"Well, I am a scientist. Also... I need you to tell me this again and I want you to be completely honest to me."

"Alright... shoot."

"Do you have any kind of power, abilities, whatever!"

"What? No! I never had any powers from the day I was hatched!"

"Then why was the temperature spiking every time you landed some sort of hit.

"... What? What do you mean?"

"It spiked every time you made contact at those projections. It was at five hundred and thirty-three degrees fahrenheit at one point! That's literally equal to the heat of fire!"

That really happened? Xanoys thought to herself on this. She doesn't have any power that could cause that. She slowly got off from the ground, exhausted and a bit beaten up. "I don't know, Lin... I don't have any kind of power. Otherwise, I would have told you. You know that."

"Yeah... I know." Linith placed a finger on her chin, thinking for a moment until having an idea in her head. "Listen, you head back home. I think this is enough for now. In the meanwhile, I'm gonna re-watch the footage of your fight and try to figure out what was going on. I'll let you know when if I find out anything."

"Ugh... thanks." Xanoys says with a grunt as she began to walk away. "I'm gonna be sore in the morning..." The last she said as she passed the doorway, closing behind the yellow which leaves Linith alone, wondering on the whole thing.

Whatever happened, she needs to find out why the temperature spiked whenever Xanoys' hits made contact. She'll stay up all night to figure it out if she has to.

Good ol’ vacation!

It's been a couple of weeks and the red blood is still on vacation with her mate. Linith woke up next to her mate as she sees the sea dweller sleeping soundly. At this point, Linith has been sleeping naked and that's usually because of the many times her and Hubrii always have sex before they fall asleep. Not wanting to disturb her mate, she quietly gets off the bed and searched for a shirt to wear.

Grabbing one of her mate's shirts, she puts it on and began wandering throughout her mate's vacation hive. At least that's what she wants to call it. She was in need of coffee and walked around to find the kitchen and not paying no mind to her mate's servants. Since they are Hubrii's servants, Linith also can do whatever she wants and walking around half naked is one of them.

After a couple of minutes of wandering aimlessly, she finally found the kitchen and searched through the cabinets to see if there was any coffee around. There was a moment Linith had to climb on top of the counter to try and get to the top cabinets only to be startled by a voice behind her. "What the hell?!"

"Oh... I'm sorry, miss." A troll said. The red blood turned around to see her mate's servant standing formerly and holding a tray with a mug filled with something.

"Uh... it's okay. I guess?" Pausing for a moment, she realized the position she's in must be very embarrassing for this troll to see, though it seems like the servant doesn't seem to mind at all. "You're not going to cover your eyes... or anything? I do have my bare naked ass right in front of you to see."

"I'm used to it, miss-"

"Dimava. Linith Dimava. Though you're welcome to call me Lin if that helps. Also, you're used to it?"

"Oh... okay. And yes. Our mistress sometimes walks around in the nude. Everyone that serves her pretty much have their first time witnessing her in the nude and eventually gotten used to it. We only wish to serve, miss Roiyal."

"I can imagine how your reaction was like seeing her naked." Linith grinned and then eyed down at the mug. "What's that you got there?"

The troll almost forgot that they were holding a tray with a cup of coffee and blushed, scratching their head. "Oh dear! This is a cup of coffee. It's my job to help miss Roiyal prepare for her day and I usually help by giving her a cup of coffee in the morning so she can have that boost of energy. Since you're awake, you may have this and I'll prepare another for miss Roiyal."

"Sweet~" Linith walks over, gently holding the mug and took a sip of it only to find it cold. "Huh... I think you forgot to heat it up."

"What?!" The troll was distraught by this. They never forget to heat up the water for miss Roiyal's coffee. How could they forget out of the many times they have done it? "I'm very sorry, miss... Linith. I shall take it and-"

"Ah, ah, ah." She says as she brought her finger up and waggled it side by side to gesture "no." Holding the cup in one hand, her hair catches on fire and soon became flames instead of her natural hair as her hand holding the cup warms up the coffee from underneath. There was a tiny bit of flames puffing from her hand as she finishes, the flames from her hair slowly extinguishing and it went back to her normal hair. "I can heat up my own drinks no problem~"

"Wow... pyrokinesis." The troll stood in awe as they just watched a spectacle right in front of them. "I guess that works, too..."

"Don't overreact on your mistake. Shit happens. Hell, I'm a girl of science and even I make a ton of mistakes, okay?"

"O-Okay... okay! Thank you... Linith!"

"No probs." Linith smiled, taking a sip of the coffee and sighed happily from the taste. "Hey, is there a balcony anywhere around this place?"

"Yes! Just head down the hall, take a left up the stairs and then head down the hall again. The entrance to the balcony is straight ahead."

"Thanks dude!" Linith followed the directions while holding her cup of coffee and made it to the balcony.

The open air was nice. The view was beautiful as she sees the horizon and the rest of the landscape. Taking another sip, she hears a beeping noise coming from her watch as she quickly checks it. Her holowatch showed a new message and pressed it to see who it could be. Xanoys. At that moment, Linith forgot to tell Xanoys that she was going on vacation with her mate. "Oh shit... this is awkward..." Placing her coffee on the flat railing, she opened up the holographic keyboard and messaged the yellow blood back.

Ending the conversation, Linith closes her holowatch and goes back to admiring the scenery. Holding her cup of coffee, she takes another sip from it. She's quite happy. To think her relationship with Hubrii started with her being her mate's slave and then eventually becoming a full on matesprit. How time flies.
