Here’s the reference for my wind waker link, Gale! He’s 14 years old, and was 12 during wind waker. He’s very curious and tends to leap into situations before thinking them through but is always able to get out of them. He is very brave and will do anything to protect the ones he loves.

Before the events of my comic, it is the time in-between ww and ph. He loves to sail the sea with tetra, his best friend/kinda partner as they search for new islands. He still lives with sister and grandmother though.

He has a lot of scars compared to most links but that’s mostly due to him often being careless or forgetting to think things through.

Here is my reference drawing for my Minish! Also here is some background information about him.

Minish goes by the pronouns he/she but prefers to be called a he by people they are not as close to. Zelda calls them a she and they have formed more of a sibling/friend bond than a romantic one. He is also the smallest and youngest link out of all of them.

Minish is eleven years old and was nine when he went on his adventure. Some of his hobbies include forging swords, playing with the Minish children, and telling stories. Minish is also quite lonely despite his friendship with Zelda. Most of the other people in his village can’t believe that he saved the world and laugh at his small size. He likes to live with the Minish and Zelda at times and he loves to tell stories to the Minish children. His father passed before he was born and his mother died a year later. His grandfather took care of him for the rest of his life and knows that Minish will live with the Piccori as he calls them at times. As a result of shrinking down to Minish size, Minish has Minish ears and a tail. The tail will go away when Minish is back in his regular size but the ears stay. After already being teased about his size, Minish didn’t want to give other people any more things to laugh about. Because of this, he hides his ear behind his hat with only his grandfather, Zelda, and the Minish knowing about them.

Minish caries around a carving of Ezlo that he made around with him everywhere. It helps him when he feels lonely or misses Ezlo. He does visit him from time to time but it is not the same as when they traveled together. Also after being defeated, Vaati returned to being a Minish and he and Link became friends. They write letters and hang out together. Also, there will be an evil Vaati in the comic but he is a different version of him who is still evil.

Some other items of his are his sword, which lost its four splitting abilities after too much time away from the elemental sanctuary but is returned much later to become the four sword, a boomerang, the small shield Zelda gave him, some kinstones, and roc’s cape.

Minish has fever scars than most links but some include being clawed by a cat while shrunk, being splashed by some rogue lava, and accidentally slabbing himself while trying to use a dagger for the first time. Also when he first shrunk down he fell on his face and cut himself right above his nose. He was also slashed by a darknut.
