I cannot tell you about Mistletoe and Pandoro without telling you first about the Winning Ingredient. The Winning Ingredient is an adorable YA RomCom where a determined teenager does everything she can to save the familial bakery from bankruptcy with the help of her Italian grandmother’s cookbook and a charming star quarterback. All that said, Mistletoe and Pandoro is a sweet novella that can be read individually from the book, even if you will miss some of the characters’ depth and relationship.
Taking place a few months after the end of the Winning Ingredient, Mistletoe and Pandoro is the perfect feel good Holiday’s read. Mia and Bryce are back, as well as all their friends and families. The DeSalvo Bakery is extremely busy, but that doesn’t stop Mia from questioning her relationship with Bryce and entering a culinary competition.
Kelly Swan Taylor’s novella is highly enjoyable. It is full of Holiday Spirit, snow, mistletoe, and delicious Italian cakes and food. It is the perfect sequel to the Winning Ingredient, and I really enjoyed reading more about Mia and Bryce’s love story. If you read the Winning Ingredient, it is definitely a must read ! If you haven’t read it, it is the perfect door to enter the DeSalvo Bakery and discover this great novel !
