Kai, Zane and Cole tying their hair up/putting on do rags to keep their hair from pushing up their hoods

More armor to not only protect them but also hide their body types

Lego Ninjago Movie au where Zane downloads a bunch of media about being a teenager and actively observes actual teens to help blend in better. He’s pretty much like any other ambivert now but people avoid him because he’s close to Lloyd. He still learns through observation so he picks up a lot of the team’s habits without noticing and they think it’s interesting but chalk it up to possible neurodivergency. One day his memory malfunctions and he can’t access almost all his media and real world observations so he skips school for the day. He doesn’t get it figured out before having to meet with the rest of the ninja so he tries to play it off but comes off as robotic (like the canon tlnm Zane) so he tells them about him. They love and accept him both ways and he’s super appreciative of it. He’ll drop the act with them most of the time, but slowly does so more and more as he feels accepted. He still observes behaviors but ones that he doesn’t need in everyday life because he thinks they’re fun

Imagine how different the ninjago vibes would be if instead of being really nice or indifferent after Dr. Julien's death sequel he has a Lydia arc.

I'm talking full black, obsessed with dying, still begging for his father's guidance, unintentionally and intentionally isolating himself, being self destructive while not caring who else gets effected doing things at the expense of others Zane.
