#Gomuto part 2 One aspect of the script that I didn't particularly like was the lack of terror coming from the bad Kaiju. I had to look back and think about all the instances where I found enemy Kaiju to actually be terrifying beyond getting stomped. A few came to mind, the monsters from Clash of the Gargantuans, the creatures from Deep Rising, and as I mentioned before, the tentacles of the tripods from War of the Worlds. There's always the smaller versions of the big one that they use in G98, GvDestroyah, and Cloverfield... the latter which I actually found to be the most original and terrifying of the bunch. For Gomuto, i wanted him to be very terrifying and Alien like. Also the original script did diddly squat with the humans, not really showcasing how much of a badass the main dude is, even though everyone says he is. They somewhat accomplished this with the recent Rock in Rampage with that last act. Absurd, but that's the scale I was imagining the Kaiju in Godzilla to be. Anyway, Gomuto would have, in my mind, chased our heroes into buildings, trying to not only eat them, but take their macguffin, TBD. The tongue would have an eyeball at the end then split up into smaller fibrous tentacles giving some horrific chase scenes. Anyway... im not really a writer, but that's what I had im my mind to flesh out the very bare and boring, and lack of urgency felt in the original script. They sorta implied that the Mutos would send the world into the dark ages... which is quite terrifying if you think about it, but on a visual level... I think we're all more scared of getting stomped. #Godzilla #Godzilla2014 #gojira #WarnerBros #linpictures #L1N #Legendary #conceptart #conceptdesign #instaart #instagood #artcenter #artistoninstagram #illustration #digitalart #digitalpainting #drawing #paint #painting #sketch #monster #kaiju #tokusatsu #ゴジラ #特撮 (at Monterey Park, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuT6NfElGRL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ww24vd2o1yde
