Honestly Linux could be as difficult to use as Windows users claim it is and I'd still prefer it over Windows. I just really value not having a bunch of spyware on my computer I guess.

GOOD NEWS!!
We have a new member to the fleet!!
My now favorite laptop (sorry lima)
XPS
I got let loose fucking with one at work, and fell in love with the Dell XPS 13 9360
Sooooo, In a moment of good financial decisions, i dropped £106.25 on one off ebay. Dodgy trackpad so i've ordered a new one so i get to replace that soon.
But just, looooook!!!
She's so pretty on the inside, I love it so much
That huge battery too oml
And my favorite part
The itty bitty little CMOS battery
I decided that XPS is gonna replace Lima as my work laptop, so whenever I go out to fix shit i'll have a light little guy to carry rather than the 2.5kg brick that lima is.
And, we have progress on my linux fuckery
@debian-official (Trixie) my first device
And also
My first proper dual boot with windows 10 LTSC Enterprise (no i didn't pay, fuck you microsoft)
Love this laptop, very fuckable.
Linux is better than windows because i can make a cute script to say good night to my pc and it says goodnight back with just seven lines of bash
#! /bin/bash
name="$(whoami)" messages=("Good night!" "Good night, $name" "Sleep well" "Sleep well, $name" "Sweet dreams!" "Sweet dreams, $name!") size=${#messages[@]} rand=$((0 + $RANDOM % ($size - 1))) echo ${messages[$rand]} shutdown
