I will be starting a little linux propaganda campaign on my new blue sky account (I was never active on twitter but a bunch of cool people moved to bsky so I decided to give it a try).
If you have any advice regarding my semi-serious, semi-meme endeavor, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.
My main talking points so far, are:
- Microsoft spies on you (possibly uses your data to train their AI)
- Microsoft forces people to buy new computers with their absurd hardware reqs for w11 (probably so their AI could work better and they could better spy on you) and throw away their old ones as if the e-waste problem wasn't already bad enough
- Microsoft is a monopoly and fuck that because at this point they don't care if their product is the best but rather that the customer doesn't know they have a choice
- knowing about tech is good (and cool) especially when rich people like to use it against you.
Target audience: online lefties
So comment, reblog, send me asks or dm me if you have any suggestions regarding:
- resources I could use/recommend to people
- design (if I am making any comics/drawings/memes/"posters" should I create some unique artstyle/design? Like what? Should I pick a color palette and stick to it?)
- approach (should I maybe be more like "come to the linux party we have cookies uwu" or "fuck microsoft, fuck google, eat the rich, shot the CEOs"? or both?)
Thanks to anyone who shares their thoughts. I may not respond immediately but every interaction is appreciated.
