“in need of a break yet?” lionel spared a glance over at brice, fingers momentarily stilling over the clay in front of him. could he have accomplished this sculpture with a photograph, instead of brice needing to be here, posing more than half naked in front of him? sure. but where was the fun in that? “just let me know if you need a moment or two to stretch, okay?” it was a far more accommodating attitude than he usually had with those he sculpted, but, well, he wasn’t fucking them. ...not all of them, anyway. besides, for this whole scheme of his to work, he had to at least pretend to be a nicer person than he actually was, or else he’d get caught before it had a chance to be completed, officially ruining the happy couple. “i’d just hate to stiffen you up.” the sparkle in his eyes and playfulness of his tone proved he knew exactly how he sounded, using words that were chosen carefully, even if they way they were used made it seem unintentional.
