You know, whenever I read those Primarch x Reader scenarios, the reader's family is rarely mentioned, or if they are, they're portrayed as abusive or distant (and this is almost the norm in almost any Character x Reader story). And I understand why...
But you know what would be great? If the Primarch's partner's family members interacted too, if it was something beautiful! I mean, look at what I see...
– Lion El'Johnson gossiping with his partner's mother about all the juiciest family secrets.
– Fulgrim letting his partner's siblings practice makeup and hairstyling with him, even giving them advice.
– Perturabo helping to fix countless things damaged in his partner's family's house without being asked.
– Jaghatai Khan cracking the best jokes to make your family laugh, then doing stunts on his motorcycle to entertain them and taking the kids for rides.
– Leman Russ constantly having drinking contests with your uncles, winning every single one, but still having the time of his life.
– Rogal Dorn doing all the repairs on his partner's family's house himself, along with who knows how many renovations.
– Konrad Curze connecting with a family member who realizes that deep down, he's a kid with a terrible past who's also looking for acceptance and something to give him hope for the future.
– Sanguinius taking his partner's young cousins or nephews flying and letting them play and have fun with their wings.
– Ferrus Manus building and assembling things that he thinks his partner's family might find useful in their daily lives.
– Angron momentarily silencing the nails to accept a cup of coffee from his partner's mother.
– Roboute Guilliman helping with his partner's family finances in a simple yet methodical way, especially if they're having money problems.
– Mortarion discovering new plants and brews while his partner's grandmother explains how to use them as she makes him tea.
– Magnus helping with chores or telling stories to the little ones.
– Horus winning over all your aunts and uncles by telling stories of his adventures with his usual charisma at dinner.
– Lorgar helping his partner's family during difficult times, perhaps with the loss of a loved one, through his faith, or by discovering that he doesn't need to please everyone to be appreciated.
– Vulkan having a barbecue by the pool, yessss!
– Corvus receiving a bit of maternal or paternal love from his partner's parents after realizing that deep down he's somewhat insecure.
– Alpharius and Omegon playing hide-and-seek with the little ones, and no one ever manages to beat them. Were they here? Were they there? They've found everyone, but no one ever finds them...
See what I mean? Maybe my vision is too idyllic, but I'd like to see more of it. Perhaps this is influenced by my own family dynamic with so many members, perhaps by my Latin roots and the importance of family in my own environment, perhaps because the idea that they can all be happy with a loving family brings me peace...
