The left is Cobalt Charged and the right one is Unplugged Violet, both from the Electric Shock Lip Lacquer Line by Revlon. Now that I’ve worn them, I can say from experience they aren’t like a traditional lacquer. Usually a lacquer is a thick version of a gloss. These you have to let dry like a liquid lipstick. This is similar to the Vice Special Effects lip toppers by Urban Decay. It’s a super pretty color, but it’s a real pain to apply/let dry completely.

Please recommend brands and colours of liquid lipsticks that dry down matte? I'm looking for some new ones and I'm always up for input.

I mostly wear Sleek Matte Me ones or Colourpop. Today's is by Makeup Revolution but it really dries out my lips and they've split just from 2 days of wear 😔 I also wear Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink sometimes. They're my top 4 brands really.

Any you swear by? Lipstick is how people know me 😂 I wanna branch out.

So I bought a new lip lacquer. It's Revlon's Ultra HD lip lacquer in Rose Quartz. All the lacquers in the series are named after gemstones so there's also Petalite, Pink Ruby, Tourmaline, Garnet, Carnelian, Smoky Topaz, Strawberry Topaz and Pink Diamond. My point to all this? Steven universe trash that I am I nearly burst out laughing in the middle of Superdrug when I realised that the Pink Diamond and Rose Quartz shades were at opposite ends of the display. It's like there's someone at Revlon who watched the show and decided putting the two beside each other wasn't going to end well.
