i know there's a literal dragon egg and a wizard in Mystery Knight but that doesn't change the fact that the most unrealistic thing to happen in that story is that Daemon II Blackfyre was able to completely wash out that pitch black dye off of his silver white hair

At that point I just assumed that he gets his hair dye from the same people either Dabi from My Hero Academia

Or Shouxue from Raven of the Inner Palace

Can't find a GIF of the scene but in the first episode she goes to wash her hair in a river and washes all the dye out. In hindsight she looks like a more Asian Targaryan with her purple eyes (she's also a member of a former ruling family that was overthrown). She also burns incense to cover up the smell of the dye and in hindsight Daemon's citrus perfume may have been for a similar purpose.

She has colour! Or at least is mostly coloured. I don't want to leave her bandana white but I'm stuck on what colour to add to the colour scheme. I'm pleased with how the yabane/yagasuri pattern turned out, even if it's a little inconsistant.

Finally got around to trying to flesh out a medicine seller OC who's been floating around in my head for a while. I've always liked the whole kimono/hakama/boot combo from the Meiji/Taisho period and thought it would look good on a lady medicine seller. I think she might be a Qian but I'm still undecided. Will hopefully post a coloured version at some point, and design a backpack and some scales.

Some quick info about your application:

We'll get you to share with us a contact detail whether that be a Tumblr handle, email address etc. (this will be kept private and only used to contact to organise the zine)

Tell us what kind of work you'll be submitting!! The amazing thing about a fanzine is that there are very little limits to the kind of work you can put in. You can submit work from multiple categories. The application categories are as follows:

Writing - For fanfiction, character studies, meta essays, and other written works with a word count of 1k to 3.5k.

Art - For illustrations, comics, digital art, traditional art, graphic design, and other visual pieces.

Miscellaneous - For fanworks that don't fit into the writing or art categories, such as playlists, poetry, moodboards, fake social media posts, embroidery, cosplay photography, headcanons, and other creative projects.

The final thing is that we'll ask you to share at least two examples of your works (two for each category you apply to) - there are two separate submissions, one is a text box and the other is a file submission just in case. AO3 or google doc links are welcome, as are images. (if there’s an issue with this please let us know in the form or message one of us!!)

We reserve the rights to decline an application or final submission but most likely we will just ask you to edit a little to uphold the rules :) (if an application is declined we will 100% let you know)
