Okay, attention please.
As most of you know, I was doing a Ride lip dub and thank you project for twenty one pilots. I started it in the middle of May and the end date was supposed to be today.
Okay. So I was editing it with Final Cut Pro, an editing software I use on my Macbook computer. It was almost done, except for the music and everything.
About three weeks ago, my laptop broke. The wifi wasn’t working and I couldn’t access the videos that were sent. So I took it to Best Buy to get it fixed. They told me at the counter that I could be at risk of getting things deleted. At the moment, I thought they were talking about photos or music. So I said okay.
I just received my laptop two days ago. I just now (literally just now) looked at my Final Cut Pro app to see where I left off with the Ride project.
All of it got deleted.
Every clip.
Every thank you.
All. Of. It.
I am honestly on the verge on freaking out simply because I put so much time into this project, and so did the people who participated. I know that a lot of people were looking forward to seeing the end project, as was I. But every single part of what was edited (which was about 87%) is deleted.
I’m mad, yes. But I’m more upset over the fact that so many of you put so much effort into your clips and I know you guys really loved doing it. I’m so sorry to those of you who sent in clips. I truly, truly am.
However, I do still have the e-mails of the clips. So I can duplicate the project.
But it took me a lot of time and effort to do it the first time. I have no idea how long it could take this time if I decided to redo it all.
I don’t know what I’m going to do yet. I just wanted to let you guys know. I am honestly so so so sorry. I really feel absolutely horrible about it and I just want you guys to know that I loved every single one of your videos. They were so creative and cute and funny and I loved them all so much.
I’m so sorry, guys. Honestly. I’m so so sorry.
