Drawing an inspiration from Lippan Art, I made this artwork. It is my very first attempt at such an artwork. Being it my first go at it, it may not be so perfect.
I bought readymade MDF butterfly cut out from an online store. I searched about which butterfly would fit well in this cut out - i.e. could be painted appropriately over the cut out - it turned out to be Malabar Banded Swallowtail (though I also agree that the cut out's abdomen is too thick, while that of this swallowtail in reality is slender). I used acrylic colours.
