One Not To Miss: Live at Leeds 2016 – 30th April

Every year, Live at Leeds presents an amazing line-up showcasing emerging artists alongside more established acts from around the world. Over 200 artists will be playing across town in venues like the Headrow House, the O2 Academy, Leeds University Union, Leeds College of Music, Leeds Beckett University, Brudenell Music Hall, the Faversham, the Wardrobe and others. LSR Presents: Sound Sessions

On Monday 22nd February, LSR Presents: Sound Sessions kicked off with their first living room session. For those who don’t know, the Sound Sessions is a new and exciting platform to showcase live streamed, filmed and audio recorded sessions with local and touring bands. Lippy Music with Idlewild

The five-piece Scottish alternative rock band, Idlewild, released their new album Everything Ever Written in 2015. The album takes its inspiration from different genres, making it a very diverse and unique record. It reached number 20 in the UK Charts and was praised by The Independent as “their best work so far” and Drowned In Sound magazine described their album as “a genre-traversing, surprising, melodic, poetic, anthemic record with heart, smarts and soul.” Check out what Idlewild had to say to Helen Woodhouse in the interview over at the Lippy website...

‘Indulge’ this Christmas with JONES

I admit that this song caught my eye because of its title’ ‘Indulge’ – it seems quite apt for this time of year, don’t you think? But, with its smooth, tinkling melody, which is heart-warming for cold winter nights, combined with a dreamy-electronic undertone, it seems perfect for now, and something I certainly hope to hear more of in the new year.
