indulge
I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.
Mary Shelley, Frankenstein
I grieve for the years I hated my body and restricted food

This is a self indulgent request, you can ignore it if you didnāt feel motivated cause I canāt think of a specific scenario but I was something for Pagliacci(dude from scp) with fem readerā¦maybe a human who finds herself somehow in his town and he takes liking to her
Say no more.
A circus is how you somehow ended up here. Coming with friends when you got distracted by a cotton candy stall. You lost them in the crowd but at least you got your sugary treat!
The weirdness started when you noticed everyone you passed by had clown paint on. The circus grounds seem to stretch forever and the shows got progressively stranger. Things the human body shouldn't be able to do were happening in front of your eyes. Your smile slowly fades away to confusion and disquiet.
Everyone seems to be staring at you. Laughing. You're too scared out of your mind to stop and ask what's going on. There's a sensation of being surrounded. By who? By what?
By them. The creature that live in clown town.
It's over a game of pin the tail on the high clown that he sees you scurrying along the grounds. Cotton candy clutched to your chest and a wide eyed look of terror.
It's clear to him you're human. You have no clownish features and for some reason Paggliaci finds you utterly enchanting.
He steps away from the game and walks towards you. The clowns watching titter and shout. "Evviva! il principe. Sei deā Pagliacci. Tu i guai discacci. Col lieto umor. Evviva! Son qua!"
Ignoring them, he tries to contain his sharp white teeth in his mouth as he approaches and speaks.
"You don't belong here."
You look at the man in front of you. His clothes are bright and decidedly dramatic. As if from a theater closet. "Please I don't know where here is. I didn't mean to interrupt I was just trying to find my friends-"
"There's no need to be scared. We are good company." He bows low and takes your hand to kiss. You almost flinch at the soft brush of his threatening teeth. "I am Pagliacci. Let me welcome you to our town."
You lean back to scan him once more. Eyes looking up at him with curiosity. Oddly charmed by him. "It's nice to meet you Paggliaci." You don't want to speak anything louder than a whisper. This entire experience seems like a dream.
He pulls you along the street. Gloved hand in yours and warm to the touch.
The people exalt him or boo and throw tomatoes. Though he shields you from the former. He's some kind of leader in this place.
You ask a thousand questions and instead of answering he shows you.
Under a Kaleidoscope sky he shows you wonders, eyes never leaving your face as it dawns with awe. The polka dot fabric of broken reality, the grand competition of smiles where the competitors shock and entertain.
You two have dinner of sugary sweets you fear you'll have new cavities. There's a whoopee cushion under your seat and you nearly die of embarrassment when it farts. But he laughs. You find yourself joining him.
"che bel sorriso!" He breathes. "You simply must stay, please? There is so much I wish to show you. To know you."
And how can you deny this charming clown man?
You want to go home? he'll help you! Right after this show... And the next... And then maybe a stroll through town... Oh and he's dying to show you a feature in town that every visitor must see.
So yeah. You're stuck for some time.
Spread the Love š
For many, Valentineās Day is typically focused on romantic love between two people. For me, Valentineās Day has always been about sharing love with everyone in my circle and celebrating all the love that is present right here, right now ā not mourning the absence of another, but embracing the beauty of the now. Single or in relationship, Valentineās Day is one of my favorite days of the year.
Many of my friends, male and female, experience stress, sadness, and longing at this time of year, and while I understand how they might feel this way, to dwell in a depressive state focused on that which seems lacking is ultimately a waste of time and energy. Itās also a way of negating any form of love present in your life right now, including the love you have for yourself.
There are so many opportunities to spread the love on Valentineās Day, and perhaps this is an important opportunity to demonstrate love and compassion towards yourself. I think most of us realize by now that the basis for long-term real love ā true love with another person ā begins with self-love.
Every Valentineās Day, regardless of whether I am single or dating someone, I always buy myself something special. Work within your budget and do something that feels indulgent and blissful. This is about honoring and appreciating yourself. I love to schedule a spa session, indulge in my favorite chocolate delicacies, and buy myself beautiful lingerieāespecially when Iām single. Nothing makes me feel more sensual and luxurious than fabulous lingerie even if Iām the only one who gets to appreciate it!
Then, I turn my attention to friends who may be feeling depressed, left out, or lonely. I send valentines to my favorite people and gift my friends and family with a beautiful candle or treat I know they will enjoy. Letting others know they are loved and appreciated, even if itās simply through a text message, gives them the heartwarming gift of feeling seen.
Whatever you choose, do it with joy and revel in pleasure, which incidentally is the best way to magnetize more love your way. What could be more attractive than a generous, loving person radiating happiness and engaging [heart]fully in all life is offering in this present moment? These are the beautiful people you encounter throughout life who literally glow from the inside out making them irresistible to all.
How are you going to spread the love this Valentineās Day?
