You can make your own Crystal Garden using the following

six tablespoons of salt

six tablespoons of liquid bluing (a laundry whitening product)

six tablespoons of water

one tablespoon ammonia

a medium-sized bowl

a shallow bowl

food coloring

small rocks

Mix salt, bluing, water, and ammonia in the medium-size bowl

Place rocks in shallow bowl

Pour mixture over rocks

Crystals will grown in three weeks. After that time, keep adding water and they'll continue to grow. Place bowl on tray/breadboard if crystals begin to grow over the edges of the bowl.
