FINISHED!! I think it's my first finished painting in 2017. I like how it turned out and learned a lot while making it. I put in a lot of time and made myself work. Which is a barrier for me. This shows I can start and finish a project and I good amount of time. Okay, now I’ve had enough. Unfollow me now if you believe this shit and if me speaking out against it offends you. This is NOT HOW IT FUCKING WORKS! What the actual hell is going on? I’ve seen so many women posting this type of thing over the past 2 days and it’s making my blood boil. You don’t honestly put the blame on the men, do you? According to this logic, you need to keep your mother fucking legs closed!! Yes, rape is a problem and no I don’t know what to do about rape pregnancies but fuck right the hell off with this. Perpetual testing. Wanted to see what I could do with primed canvas. One of those is fluid acrylic and I don’t like it lol. Also, it’s apparent that I need to let the paint dry a little more before taping over it. I really do like the texture I can get with spray when applied from a proper distance and when it’s not applied so heavily that it runs. It’s a delicate balance of distance and valve pressure. It’s dirty and imperfect but dammit I love this. I cannot wait to do this on a large scale. It will bring a whole new set of challenges (how the hell do I secure a 6ft x 4ft loose raw canvas so that it doesn’t warp with each application of paint) but I am psyched to give it a go. In the future, I hope to add other design features but for now I want to play with color and vertical stripes. I suppose I’ll probably add dots at some point because, well, I love dots. Kind of testing some vertical stripe stuff. There are 3 different types of spray paint here and I’m wondering if there’s a visual difference. And if there is, is it a bad thing? Then, on another level, what determines a “bad thing?” I suppose if it’s not pleasing to the eye it would be bad.
