"Aftermath of betrayal"- AU comic script. PART 1- Introduction of Dog
🐾 Hi, guys, I'm back! Idk if you noticed my absence but I did! I went through the worst job experience. It gave me the worst stress and writer's block. But now this is out of the way and I'm back to "blessing" you with content.
🐾 Q: Is this first of my posts you're seeing? What do you think of it? You like the way I write Jason? Do you like Lisa?
🐾 This is the introduction of Dog, Jason's dog from RHATO in my alternate universe. ⬇️
🐾 Context: They first met, on opposite ends: Lisa, as a vigilante under Batman, and Jason, the newest crime lord. Jason ends up wounding her in a fight and decides on a whim, instead of just patching and leaving her there, to kidnap her and make her give him the Joker, since he is deep locked in Arkham and she is a psychiatrist. In the meantime, however, until she meets her purpose, they have some bonding, sharing morals, secrets, getting into dangerous situations. When time finally comes she decides against it, betraying Jason, introducing an emergency code and Joker's cell shuts down.
(Location: One of Jason’s hideouts, which he uses for meetings with other mob bosses. He intends for it to look luxurious but cold and unwelcoming, like minimalist style penthouses. Outside, in the garden, there are his men guarding the place. This is the only one of his hideouts Lisa learns about from the street, so she is set on breaking in and reconnecting with Jason.)
(She gets through the garden, avoiding security with ease, since Jason clearly intended for this to be harder to get through for his rivals than for any person having Batman’s training. The hardest part of the task was being silent, carrying a plastic bag she brought with her.)
(When she’s about to get inside, she hears voices and realizes Jason is walking the “guest” out. So the only remaining way to get inside is by climbing and reaching the window of his office.)
(To avoid being spotted, she climbs the nearest tree from the building, then fires a grappling hook. Finally, she reaches the big window. Looks inside a second, noticing how still his office is, she doesn’t spot any security or any other special system installed, then steps in.)
(His desk is right by the window, however she is unable to reach it, since as soon as she moves, something yanks her from behind and slams her to the floor. The bag she carries and the containers it had inside hit the floor as well, making a lot of noise. She doesn’t even get to turn her head around and see what’s happening before she feels the heat and anger of another being. Its fangs pierce through her costume, and she hears growls.)
(Obviously, a guard dog. She tries to push it away and reach for her weapons, but it is almost as big as her and heavier, so all she can do is shield herself while the dog reaches closer and closer for her face. It clangs its fangs on her forearm hard, however, after a split second, the dog eases its grip and looks straight at her with some sort of recognition in its eyes.
(In this split second, a voice can be heard from the hallway coming in)
J: Dog!!!
(He rushes to fetch the animal, which is frozen in the same position.)
J: Dog, let go!! Girl, let– Go!!!!
(Finally, it lets go, still having a shocked and remorseful expression. Lisa sits up while Jason holds the dog back since it tries to go to Lisa again, but this time not aggressively, it’s trying to sniff her)
(A moment passes)
L: It’s a good thing you got a pet.
J: She’s not a pet. I found her on the street and took her in… for a while.
L: Counts as a pet.
(Another moment of silence, where Jason is tethering the dog, with his back turned on her. She manages to get up and checks herself.)
L: What’s her name?
J (answers still not turning to her): Dog.
L: You named your dog “Dog”?
J: I am not creative with names.
L (amused): Well you were creative enough to not call her “Bitch”.
(J holds back his amusement.)
J (done with Dog, but still making himself busy in the other side of the room): What do you want?
