wada sez: Hey, this ain’t a Shattered Glass story! Apparently, Wout Jut wrote it on request from Ackerman. Overkill’s Universe toy was a redeco of Classics Grimlock, so there’s a direct connection between the characters; you may recall “Upgrades” similarly riffed on that idea. Clean inks below.

wada sez: This strip maybe suffers for coming in such close proximity to Pietre A. Valbuena’s beautiful artwork on the previous Blurr strip, but this is a genuinely novel take on the character, executed with real charm by this family writer/artist team!

wada sez: What an odd strip! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a religious take on the Coneheads. On deviantART, Feller said: “it's my interpretation. they didn't get much in the way of personalities in the cartoon other than one or two episodes where they were semi-featured. i branched out. [...] i wanted to take a serious look into not only the Coneheads but also a bit of the religious aspect of Cybertron.” Fair enough! Dirge and Thrust’s colorations are accidentally swapped in the first panel. The statue is drawn to resemble Rodimus Prime. See below for a preview of tomorrow’s strip.

wada sez: This is the second strip in what was billed as the “Girls’ Night Out” saga, following “Just Like In The Movies”. The actual plot here is unrelated to that of the previous strip, but they’re supposed to take place contemporaneously, and it applies a similar formula to introducing the character of Road Rage. Osorio tried to address some confusion on deviantART: “Actually, Road Rage isn't a diplomat, but is (going to become) the bodyguard of one, that being Crosscut. When I wrote this, the intention was that she was observing and studying human society. From her bio, it's established that Rage isn't the more well balanced of autobots, so we could expect a reaction like this from her. I wonder why do you think the land isn't owned by the hippie, we only say it's a wasteland, not who owns the land. The decepticons here are an allegory for capitalism, but they are obviously not the owners of the land, so it's not like they are taking it back. There may be a point in the use of the word "reclaim" tough, and that could be a language issue, since I'm a spanish speaker, and our word "reclamar" doens't mean to take something back from someone but to simply appropriate. Maybe I should have used the word "claim" instead?” For whatever reason, the published version of this strip lacked the blue coloring layer for Road Rage’s wings and helmet.

wada sez: To recycle his Grimlock/Overkill strip with Ackerman for his Shattered Glass project, Wout Jut had the whole thing recolored to instead cast them as Thrustor/Grimlock! Thrustor is an odd choice for Shattered Glass, selected solely for his saurian alternate mode. Note how the second and last panels were swapped to better suit the new script. Clean colors below.
