Okay, this may have taken me more than a few minutes. 

I'm now proving that I'm not really well read, haha.

Most of the books are YA and children's books because adult fiction disappoints me a lot of the time.

Don't hate me for the first two.

In no particular order:

Twilght by Stephenie Meyer (for it being the first YA book I ever read)

The Host by Stephenie Meyer (cause observing humans through the eyes of an alien worked out amazing in this book)

The Fault in Our Stars (for reminding me that contemporary YA can be really good and instead of being alientating)

Matched by Ally Condie (for being everything The Giver wasn't and more)

De lelievijver by Annika Thor. The Lily Pond. Original Swedish title: Näckrosdammen. (for being the first book I read about WWII that was about ordinary Jewish children who weren't affected by the war as directly but still had their lives turned around)

De poorten van Atlantis by Patrick Lagrou (for making communicating with whales and dolphins appear perfectly normal to me)

De zwarte met het witte hart by Arthur Japin. The Two Hearts of Kwasi Boachi. (for showcasing the racism of the Dutch government and its people and Arthur spending 10 years doing research for the story)

Delirium by Lauren Oliver (for blowing me away with its beautiful prose and keeping me awake till 4:30 am)

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë (for being creepy and romantic at the same time, and always making sure Jane doesn't let herself be used)

Stolen by Lucy Christopher (for being such an intense read and taking me on Gemma's journey)

WHAT'S WITH HER OBSESSION WITH DAIRY PRODUCTS OMG. ''VOORAL'' IN DE 19e EEUW. I LOVE HER.

I KNOW RIGHT I THINK DIARY PRODUCTS ARE HER THING ESPECIALLY COMBINED WITH LANGUAGE. ‘Vooral in de 19e eeuw’ If he had actually been was born before 1800.. but he was born in 1823. Close enough. I just thought of bisgierig again and in English it sounds okay (bicurious) but in Dutch it’s just what.

I forgot to answer these earlier. Thanks for tagging me, Lisanne.

1. If you were going to write a book, what would you call it and what would it be about?

A story which focuses on relationships between mothers and daughters and sisters. I don't know what I'd call it though. I can't come up with a title for something until it's finished.

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be an artist, particularly a picture book illustrator. I wanted to direct and write movies. And now, as an adult, I want to do design for film, which is basically a combination of the things I wanted to be as a child.

3. Do you like to plan things out in detail or be spontaneous?

What works best for me most of the time is to have a plan but to be relaxed about having to follow it to the T.

4. What’s your favorite part about today so far?

I've been watching the Watchmen animated comic with my sister and it's really good.

5. What kind of vacations do you like?

Ones where I’m on vacation with people I actually enjoy spending time with.

6. If you could learn one random skill, what would you learn?

I want to get better at singing! Just this week I've had a renewed passion for it and I've been practising and I already feel like I'm singing better than I ever have before!

7. Do you want children?

Maybe.

8. What do you typically have for breakfast?

A cup of tea and dinner leftovers.

9. What was the last movie you saw?

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

10. Would you rather trade some intelligence for looks or looks for intelligence?

There are way more important things than both looks and intelligence, but I think I'll take the second option.

11. Are you a good judge of character?

Yeah, most of the time.

1. What inspires you?

Compassionate people, nature, music.

2. Favorite film?

I have many which are in that top tier, but if I had to pick only one, at the moment it would be The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011).

3. Favorite song?

Is it even possible to be able to pick only one favourite song?

4. Favorite TV show?

My favourites at the present are My Mad Fat Diary and Orphan Black.

5. What are you most afraid of?

Being kidnapped/assaulted/abused. But I think I fear something like that happening to my mother or my sister more than I fear it happening to myself. And sometimes I feel weird about that because I believe that humans should care for all humans, not just their own friends and family. Because what about those people who don't have any friends or family? Who's going to protect and help and love them? But I guess the whole point of friends and family is that those are the people we should make the most effort for and feeling those strong connections are part of being human. I still wish I had the power to help everyone though.

6. What can’t you live without?

Chai Hot Chocolates.

7. What makes you think of your childhood?

My grandparents house, cricket, ponies.

8. What really pisses you off?

When people try to push or persuade me into doing things. Especially when they try to do it subtly, like, do they really think I'm stupid enough to not realise?

9. Do you love or hate Glee?

Love, but it's felt like a pretty emotionally abusive relationship for most of season four.

10. What is your dream job?

I think the thing that I've realised I really want to do is to work in set design and prop design for film and television.

11. Where would you love to visit?

I would love to take a trip and visit as many European countries as I can.
