losing my mind.

#every dnd campaign i've been in there has been at least one session where the party has moved like 3 steps #and it has taken me *checks notes* 4 a5 pages for all of merwaincelot to even GET in a wheelbarrow #it is a bit of a problem i must admit #and it's going to take longer for them to reach their destination because they've decided to wind each other up #but i've got my closing paragraph drafted i just need to get to it #lit talks

The (generalized) comment: ‘Hey, I’m really mad at this character you wrote and I don’t think these characters should’ve ended up together after their interactions in this story because they were really shitty to each other and this shit is so toxic I hate it’

Me, who completely understands the issue, knows why they’d think that, who wrote the fic as a coping mechanism while I was in a toxic place and knows all of that already, but really wanted a happy ending anyway because I needed it at the time, and also has hella rejection sensitivity: Oh okay, haha! Lollll… nevermind-

may have been done before but i can't stop thinking about the idea of merlin (when trapped in a tree by nimue) being discovered only because a knight decides to take a piss against that tree and merlin takes offence

falling in love with a book in the first fifty pages is such a magical experience

#i am on a roll #finished the seven dials mystery last week and absolutely adored it #now starting nettleblack that's set in the late 1800s with a secret society and is SO FUNNY #the chapter titles are insane #and a character that i already really like is more present in the second novel from this world so i'm very excited for that #this is absolutely going to be a new favourite #personal #lit talks #nettleblack

i am starting a new adventure in january and i am so hyped 🎉

#it has taken months but i have landed an internship with a local writing organisation #and best of all i think they really enjoyed the novel excerpt that i submitted as part of my application!!!#and there are going to be a group of us all of a similar age on the programme #genuinely stoked #however part of me still can't quite believe it and is expecting an email to land in my inbox saying it was a mistake #no excuse for not having my first draft finished by this time next year now #personal #lit talks

tailpiece of my cello snapped off while tuning this morning, genuinely devastated

#hopefully can get it repaired relatively quickly and for a price that doesn't make me wince too much #the worst incident i've had before now was the bridge of a school cello coming loose and my teacher fixed that #it will be fine and luckily there is no other damage as far as i can see #but i was just staring with one hand on the body going my poor sydney :(#my baby when you are repaired i will practise so much more than i have been #personal #lit talks
