“Remind me why I was required to wear a suit. Surely I could have just worn my shorts?”
“Boys, you need to be careful. You’re not the only ones in the shop.” Molly sighed, turning to the other person. “Honestly, I’m so sorry. They still don’t get that there are other people to look out for sometimes.”
"Look I'm working see-- I'm sitting here at this desk pretending that I care about the paperwork. What more do you want?"
“--unless you have coffee or a smoke I‘m not gettin’ out.”
surprise
“What on Earth are you doing here?”
Emma watched as the numbers flashed their way to the lobby. She was finally out of work, finally able to let her brain rest and to not look at another piece of paperwork for at least a few hours. She had been stuck writing notes and filling out sheets of parchment on a breach in an international magical contract. Her hand felt like it was in a permanent claw shape. The elevator dinged and the gates creaked up. Emma quickly moved past people, her heels clacking on the floors and she hurried away to apparate out of here. She wasn’t paying attention, her only thought was of home or maybe a bar, when she ran into someone. “Ow! Watch it!” she snapped.
Alice was beyond bored. Frank was still gone, some mission he couldn’t tell her about and she twirled her ring about. She rarely showed, she couldn’t show that weakness but their was a part of her that worried, that cracked under pressure when her partner in crime wasn’t around. She needed to compose herself, anyone could be watching, shit was becoming just as paranoid as Moody. Inhaling and sitting up straighter the young woman changed her presence. The dark haired girl looked around, twirling a lock around her finger before reaching into her pocket and pulling out a flask. She pour some of it into her tea as nonchalant as possible. “You know what I need, some chips. Or better yet a proper meal, but I’d settle for a plate of chips.” She was more or less talking to herself, as if mentally taking notes.
“Have you come to ask me for a dance?” Narcissa asked with a charming smile already reaching out to take their hand so they could lead her to the dance floor. “You know I won’t say no.”
