oh my god your timing is perfect because i was JUST thinking about this... i started writing frozen pines when i was a teenager and i was not into horror at the time (i remember saying something like "don't worry, even though i'm introducing ghosts there won't be many horror elements in the future" lmao), so it's fun to think about how different the story would be if i started writing it now with my current interests taken into account. i feel like i'm constantly reigning myself in lately because the characters i've written are already so established and it would feel wrong/too edgy if i just suddenly threw necrophilia or cannibalism into the mix fjksjds but its constantly on my mind!! 😭 anyway, my gut instinct is to say asa/finn because they already have that element of "i'd give up anything, even my life, to be with you / i'd rather lose myself in you than have no part of you at all" etc. but because finn has been dead for so long he barely has a physical body to speak of, and he can't ingest anything, that rules them out (but i cannot stop thinking about asa climbing into finn's coffin to die next to him.... making him the only person who has ever seen finn in that state.. and loved him anyway....... man.)

but the physical act of eating someone HAS to go to jada and alisa. alisa is the only one devoted (and crazy) enough to offer up her body for consumption. i'm trying not to spoil anything, because uhhh.... well..... but um, alisa has spent her whole life being intensely interested in one person for a short amount of time and then moving onto the next person, but jada is the first one who has ever pushed back and held her interest for an extended period of time; because she's the only person who has ever been able to share something alisa has never seen before (her future). jada is the only person who alisa can't lie to and can't hide from. it only feels natural that she would give herself over to jada in such a way that she would disappear into her... and become her.....

i want to spoil some things soooo bad rn 😭 but i hope this hints at enough future events to paint the picture :')
