Yes! There is this culture of "well if you don't like something just ignore it" which is fine in theory but I'm still not sure how to ignore something that is already in my face.

I am allowed to at least say "no, I do not like this thing, get it out of my face" 

It's one thing when people devote time and effort to tearing down things they don't like (because they're losers who think their taste is superior or whatever) but there's nothing wrong with just saying you don't like something
