Do you have the scripts??

I don’t have any spoilers because I don’t go into the backend myself. You’ll have to ask @longbobmckenzie or @cherryrohan for any new information and as far as I’ve seen there isn’t any.

Regarding the scripts, I stopped doing them in season seven because nobody really gave a shit and they got very little traction so I kind of assume that nobody was really using them. If you need them for something, I can probably start doing them again, but I don’t really see much of a point. Most of the interests have the same dialogue.

If anyone does actually need them, can you send me a message or something? it’s a lot easier for me to host them privately on a Google doc and just share it with you individually rather than post them to Tumblr which has a line limit. The posting to Tumblr is the part that’s annoying. .

Jesus H. Christ, this might be my last season doing scripts. This week, the dumping could've gone one of three ways.

If you're coupled with Raf, Summer & Joyo go home. If you're coupled with a girl, Evan & one of the OG boys go home If you're coupled with another guy, Raf & Daphne go home.

That means that next week's dialogue is going to have a completely different set of dialogues depending on who's still in the bloody villa. This is insane.

I know we've been complaining about branching dialogue for ages, but I'm being genuine here, I can tell from the scripts that it is getting better. They are getting more complicated every week, and more complicated means more fiddly. If the branching gets more complicated than this, it's harder for me to do the scripts and put them in order, and when I go back to work in January I'm simply not gonna have time. I'm sorry. If they're easy I'll keep doing it but IDK what to do otherwise.

We'll have to see how things go next season.

Hiya, I hate to be annoying as I don't know if you've already answered this, but why aren't there scripts for seasons 1-3? Is it stored differently in the og app or something?

(there's a fic I wanna write for the reddit prompt but it requires a replay of S1 to do it properly and idk if I have the patience💀)

I have already answered this but I cannot for the LIFE of me find the post on my stupid messy blog so may as well answer again 😁

In short, yes, the scripts are stored differently in the OG app. In the LITG app, they’re stored as one big downloadable ‘module’ with all the script as text. I can just copy/paste this text, run the macro I wrote to clean it up, and paste it in to tumblr.

In the love villa app, every individual line of dialogue is stored as a separate module. I would have to copy and paste each and every line individually in order to be able to clean them up. A regular episode in S4-S6 is around 2000 lines. But with the unique dialogue of S2, every episode would probably be 10,000lines plus. Times that by 40+ episodes? You can see my problem.

And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

I love this fandom. But not that much.
