Fanfic AMA

I have So Much fic lore and headcanons and while I often share a lot of them, I think most of them tend to stay hidden in my google docs. Please ask me questions about my fics, I love talking about them.

I'll probably pin this post every now and then just to remind people of it's existence, but please ask me questions any time, even if it's been years since I first posted this.

(Any spoilery lore questions for TCYK I'll post after I start posting that.)

Oof, writing LitM!Piper for creative writing (so likely getting, not a Day After Day chapter, but a new fic in the 'verse) and god, apparently I just have to torture every character I write.

I just realized that in both LitM and DitL Noah's the only one to have a good relationship with both his parents.

LitM: Richelle: does not live with her parents and only sees them when she has to Jacquie: her parents are divorced and her mom lives in a different city (I'm not sure if I ever officially stated that, but yeah). She loves her mom, but there's some resentment because she moved away. Noah: lives with his parents and brothers, no major conflicts

DitL: Richelle: has not heard from her parents in over 20 years Jacquie: her parents are divorced here too, and she has a strained relationship with her mom, only sees her when she has to Noah: again, good relationship, supported him through his transition (which is like bare minimum, but still) they also get bonus points for helping out Natalie and Richelle

(Technically Elliot has a good relationship with his parents in DitL, but I haven't actually thought of anything to do with his background [beyond the fact that he was in a touring production of Matilda as a child and that is what he was referencing during Musicals Week]. But yeah, he also has good familial relationships)

Dancing in the Light Incorrect Quotes

So the setup of DanceMania makes absolutely no sense for a reality show, and of course I decided for Even When You’re Gone to completely restructure it. And I’m realizing how extremely difficult it is to structure a reality show, at this point I’ve pretty much decided that it doesn’t air live, except for the last three weeks (kinda like Idol I guess, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it), and also that it airs weekly. (I think, tbh I’m still trying to figure it out)

tldr; I’m struggling, and DanceMania made no sense

I don’t know how many of you have read my fanfic, but I’m trying to work out the timeline for Season 6 and it makes no sense, so Regionals is now in late July/early August because canon timeline is beyond complicated

A discussion on discord reminded me that I don't think I ever considered how Summer ended up with B-Troupe in Even When You're Gone. Because Cleo is still part of A-Troupe so they don't join together. I think though that Cleo still talks her into it for Jude. I think Jude and Cleo talk about Jude wanting to go to Nationals now that A-Troupe can't but she doesn't feel like she can approach Summer because she doesn't know her, so she recruits Cleo to do that for her. Y'know, after it's been a couple days and things have settled a little bit and A-Troupe isn't quite so raw
