"Hey there, having some trouble regressing, little one?"

Your caregiver comes over to you, and gently wraps a blanket around your little shoulders. You look up with a frown, stuck between being little and big.

"Its okay, Im here now." They get down by your side and encase you in a big hug. You melt into it, and wrap your arms back around them the best you can. You feel so small in their arms, and so comfortable.

"Sh, sh, sh," They hush you as you begin to shake and cry, overwhelmed with just how badly you need a break. "Its okay, lovebug, its okay." They keep running their hands up and down your back, soothing you into their arms.

Together, you lay on the floor in front of the TV, your favorite comfort movie playing on the screen. Your caregiver rubs your back and holds you close, laying you both down on the pillows on the ground.

Your mind feels like its shrinking, shifting off a weight and collapsing into comfort and relaxation, or something close to it. Your tears are kissed away, and you are scooped up to be properly held like a baby with an arm under your legs. You will be okay, you know it now.
