😴: Good Dreams

Panchito is his lover. Dreams of lovers always feel like the two of them are walking on air, no matter what it is the two of them are doing. Usually, though, in these dreams, José and Panchito are laying down together, watching the splendor of their warm, soft surroundings and cuddling close. José sings to Panchito, or Panchito sings to him. Sometimes, they are slow dancing, with the occasional, sudden dip. But they are some of the most peaceful dreams that he ever remembers having.

😨: Nightmares

He’s known Panchito since they were young. As such, he pops up in quite a few dreams of his, good or bad. In bad dreams, especially on bad moon nights or when Mercury is in retrograde, Panchito is either badly hurt in adventuring accidents right before José’s eyes, or he just. Vanishes. He remembers that he’s there, but when it hits him that he is nowhere to be seen or that he’s left, the color immediately drains from everything, and he is down for the rest of the dream. Regardless of where his mind takes him, he is plagued with the dread of him not being there for whatever reason until he is certain Panchito is okay in his waking hours.

“the things i do to be left unappreciated – do you know how long it took to make you the perfect bougatsa?      …. well only one hour but STILL ! it’s on the FLOOR and you’re just STARING at it.”

Roxanne huffed with a pout poking through her lips. Her new pastry splattered on the floor, she could feel the tears prickling through her eyes. Not because it was ruined, but more so the effort that she put into it was completely wasted. This is what she gets for trying to try something new -- IT ALWAYS LEADS TO WASTED FOOD. She looked back up at Max, her pout of sadness emphasizing.

            “Fix it...”

Panchito wraps his arms around José's waist, " I have more than just a sundress for you novio," He laughs, "You are treinta y dos ahora, ¿no?" Panchito smiles, blush on his cheeks, "That means I must give you treinta y dos besos." Waiting no longer, Panchito begins to pepper kisses all over José's face: Beaks, cheeks, forehead; anywhere he can get too. He's not really counting, he'll stop when he feels like he's given enough - which would be never.

The softness on his own beak goes warm seeing Panchito like this. He is just so cute--

And the kisses begin! José has to shut his eyes and lean back a little way as a giggle or two bubbles up from his throat. Nevertheless, the parrot pulls Panchito in even closer and accepts his next present. It’s not like he hasn’t been guilty of giving the same kind of gift to his loved ones on their special days.

Besides, he’s not necessarily counting, either.

There is José, reading from the Latin I textbook in the library at New Quackmore, when he hears Panchito call his name. As he turns to face the rooster, he finds himself receiving a good jab at the tip of his beak, making him shrug his shoulders in surprise. Without saying anything, the papagaio scoots a bit closer and puts his book down to waggle the tip of the rooster’s beak.

It was just a kiss on the cheek to start. The parrot blinks in surprise briefly up at Panchito before getting back up on his toes to touch the tip of his beak with the other. The moon is shining over the cabana. It couldn’t turn out any better.

It wasn’t often that José woke up before Panchito did. Mornings with him were a delicate mix of tenderness and roughness; Panchito would wake up, try to wake up his boyfriend, still set on getting a good half hour of extra sleep, until both of them were tangled in the sheets, out in the hallway, or both.

But he wasn’t going to go back to sleep. Not yet, anyway. He just wanted to look at the rooster to his right. He looked so peaceful like this. How did he get so lucky? That’s it, he earned a kiss, right between his brows. If he woke up, José would be ready for the ensuing chaos.
