Finley is too nice to not hang out with someone. There’s also the fact that he feels the need to be accepted by everyone and that defeats his purpose, but I think he wouldn’t like to spend time with someone that is unnecessarily rude/mean?

A HEADCANON YOU’VE NEVER SHARED (TW: mentions of suicide; suicide ideation, it’s basically about how he decided to do it and all of that so pls be careful)

Finley’s suicide wasn’t something he decided to do at last minute. He had been thinking about it for a few weeks, he spent all that time doing research, and waiting for any sign from anyone that he shouldn’t do it, but nothing ever happened.

A shot in the head would be the most efficient out of all the options; but he couldn’t stop thinking about how much it would affect his family, especially Eliza. It would totally destroy what would be left of his body, and he didn’t want any of them to remember him like that, so he went with overdose.

He’d have actually died if it wasn’t for David that decided to check up on him that day. He was the one that found him lying on the bathroom floor, fighting for his life when he regretted doing all of it a minute too late. He was the one that took him to the hospital. That’s why when Finley says he has saved his life, he really means it, but no one knows how true that statement is.

Who’s the first to wake up in the morning:  Dan–unless Troy made plans to meet Faye up for an early morning run or something. But even then, Dan probably wakes up first because Troy ignores his alarm clock until it wakes up everyone else near him and they are forced to wake him up. 

Who’s the one to make breakfast: Why is this a question…Troy loves breakfast. Troy is overly passionate about breakfast foods. Troy enjoys making breakfast. And he will do so for Dan, everyday for the rest of Cap’s life. 

Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed: Well Troy would want to make breakfast in bed for Dan but he’d probably be the last out of bed…so it’d be tricky. He would probably manage to get up early enough a few times a year to do so though. 

Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work: Troy. Is this even a question? 

Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day: See the above answer. 

Who chooses the movies: I feel like when they have a movie night, it’s because they both want to see film, so both? Or Troy would put in one of his old favs and make Dan watch it with him. 

Who initiates kissing during the movie, thus distracting the other from the movie all together: If it’s one of Troy’s favorites, probably Dan–just to get his boyfriend to stop quoting the damn thing. Otherwise, Troy is the most likely candidate. 

Who orders lunch: Eh, they order their own food and just share. 

Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking: Troy. He’s a jerk. 

Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy: Can I say Kennedy and Indy? I can imagine them coming between many cute and intimate moments between Dan and Troy, and being too adorable and sleepy for the boys to want to move them. 

Who distracts the other from trying to work at home: Troy, naturally. He can go about ten minutes before he is overcome with the need to bug Dan, so of course he’ll want him home with him. 

Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old: Troy, since he is a five year old. 

Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream: I don’t really see them as the picture taking couple if that makes sense? Troy might take a picture of Dan to send to Rylie to rub the fact they’re eating ice cream in her face if that counts. And maybe Dan will take a pic when Troy inevitably makes a mess of himself. 

Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face: Is this even a question? Troy. And Dan would probably feel very uncomfortable. 

Who cooks dinner: They do together, probably. #teamwork

Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards: #TEAMWORK 

Who stays up until 2 reading:  What kinda nerds do you mistake Troy & Dan for??? (tbh are either of them really readers?? like they would be up late doing other nerdy things I’m sure, but idk about reading)

Who stares at their partner while their sleeping: Troy probably stares at Dan as Cap is trying to fall asleep, just to be annoying….which Dan can totally sense (because you tend to feel someone’s eyes on you when they’re not even a foot from your face). Dan tells him to stop, but it only makes Troy stare harder, with the addition of some super cheesy compliments. 

Who kisses their partner while they sleep: After Troy stops being gross and Dan falls asleep, Troy probably does take a moment to more seriously admire his boyfriend, at which point I’m sure he probably does kiss him on his cheek and it’s cute and gross and I hate it.
