I have given up so much to carry my second little person.

My first saved me,

My second will change me.

It’s a strange and wonderful thing to find myself pregnant again. It’s exhausting and so different from the first time around. I adored Cosplay and the worlds I used to emerse myself in, now that time is over, time is something I don’t have much of anymore and won’t for a very long while. So I’m going to have to grow and change.

In this new year I’m going to have to find other things that make me, me. To read, write and beautify are the only things that will help me hold on to myself in the mess of motherhood that’s about to hit.

I don’t feel guilty for being upset and mourning the life I lived. I feel renewed in having to reinvent myself to stay whole. I’m discovering who this new person is everyday and so far I have discovered that I’m a mother, I’m a partner and I’m a creator. Just the ways these words are used in my life are different than what they were before.
