Day 4509 - Brought our bikes camping, which let us get around the campground all weekend without taking the car.
Day 4508 - Cleaned up litter around the campsite - not much to see!
Day 4507 - Camping weekend! Meal prepped last night and this morning.
Day 4506 - More days than not, Kiddo wants to be outside all day every day and we are here to embrace that. We've come a big outdoor dinner family and I am loving it.
Day 4505 - Refilled our camping propane tanks ahead of a trip this weekend. (By which I mean Husband did while I kept the kiddo at bay ;) )
Day 4504 - Met with my moms against fascism group.
Day 4503 - We have a conference room and file room thta are rarely used at work, but the lights are almost always let on. I've gotten in the habit of turning them off whenever I walk by and find them empty.
Day 4502 - Dropped off some pies for a recently postpartum friend.
Day 4501 - Put out a hummingbird feeder for the first time!
Day 4500 - Dropped off my last few signatures for the ballot initiative petition for a dedicated nature protection fund in the state budget.
Day 4499 - We didn't have any major issues, but several of our yard trees lost big limbs during the blizzard a few months ago, so we had a professional arborist come givethem a checkup.
Day 4498 - Last night I drove out to support a family member's book launch event.
Day 4497 - Did a partial volunteer morning at the bird banding station before work! Most of the birds I worked on were common yellowthroats. Turns out I don't have any photos of those in my catalog! So here's a Townsend's warbler instead.
Day 4496 - Happy Pride! We feel very fortunate that our extended and chose families come in a variety of shapes and sizes. And we continue to do our best to make sure that kiddo is exposed to all kinds of ways that people can live and love. <3
Day 4495 - 5 months into the year and I'm more or less on track with my 2026 goal of doing 10 harder Zooniverse classifications a day. Mostly I've been doing a lot of Woodpecker Cavity Cam behavior classifications.
Day 4494 - Patched up a simple hole in a pair of my fieldwork pants.
Day 4493 - I do a fair amount of coloring alongside kiddo these days and I've started sending the drawings to my grandmother in memory care as something simple that can brighten her day.
