Yeah I was pretty dissatisfied with that last one due to obvious reasons so I thought I'd give it another shot with my artsy friend's help this time. She gave me tips that I tried to execute and in the end, this is the one that I felt pretty proud of. I'm practicing anatomy so that's my excuse for drawing these babies shirtless. ((sweats))
So anyway, second attempt of dorky boy band precious babus.
Seems like you're having fun with two boys I see. Hats and shades. Nice catch. ;D
"Woah woah woah. Wait, when you say that, do you mean that two boys like me? Like like me?” May blushed bright. Talk about springtime of youth and all that jazz.
She sidled up to greyface. “So… Anon, we’re good friends, right? Want to- want to tell me which two boys?” Her eyes sparkled expectantly.
11. “Okay, I admit it, I was just trying to sleep with you.”
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA I don’t even know!
May grimaced as her third pickup line only made Brendan laugh.
"Okay, I admit it," May hiccuped, sloshing her third - seventh? - drink onto her lap. "I was just trying to sleep with you. But you sir! You’re the one who’s guilty of-of being too se- seeee…" Oh man, why was the room spinning?
"Okay I think we’re done," Brendan laughed as he took the drink from her.
"It’s that hat, isn’t it? Stupid sexy hat. Gimme!"
“I’m sorry, May.” Her father said, his voice forlorn and guilt-ridden over the phone. “I just can’t catch a flight home. I’m stuck in Celestic Town until the storms pass.”
May balanced the phone in the crook of her neck as she changed the channel to the weather. And there it was. Celestic Town, trapped in one of Snowpoint’s wayward blizzards. What a bummer. Her father was still muttering apologies on the phone line, and May giggled as she imagined his sad puppy dog eyes which have never quite fit his wide burly face.
“Papa, it’s fine. Really.”
And seriously, it was fine. So what if she was on her own for her eighteenth birthday? She would be perfectly alright passing it like any other day and celebrating with her father when he came back. It was just one day…
May abruptly got to her feet as she felt a twinge of something that was suspiciously close to loneliness. She crossed the kitchen to the pantry, to her trove of sugary birthday treats. Who has time to be sad when there are cookies to be eaten?
“I just feel awful,” her father continued, “I’ve never missed your birthday before. Are you sure you’ll be alright?”
“I’m fine, Papa. I have a bunch of things I need to do for the lab anyway.” She didn’t. “Call me when the weather gets a bit better.”
Birthday wishes and a goodbye later, May hung up the phone. With a sigh, she hopped onto the counter, cradling the tin of cookies in her lap and fishing out a chocolate biscuit. Her Surskit, Ticcy, wandered in at the sound of food like a scavenger, and she tossed him a sugar cookie.
Well, this wasn’t exactly the birthday she was expecting. Just her and her pokemon ripping through her birthday treats like savages. She clicked her tongue disappointedly and flicked her phone away with a finger.
Brendan still hadn’t called to wish her happy birthday either.
“Well, at least I’ve got you, buddy,” May said, nodding to her Surskit. He didn’t respond and instead snatched the tin of cookies, dragging them away to his special spot under the breakfast table.
“Jerk,” May laughed under her breath, before sighing sadly and leaning back to knock her head listlessly against the wall.
