The Screaming Outside My Window -T

The title may sound a little odd, trust me the story is too. Every night since I can remember I have heard a small scream outside my window. No I am not lying, in fact I am not sure its not in my head. Keep in mind I have lived in parts of Canada, and many places in America. So I have lived in countless houses. Though every night, at a different time, I hear a little scream. Like a teapot on the stove but a little more silent. its about 5-6 seconds long. I just heard it before posting this, and that's what made me remember. I didn't think much of it when I was younger, I had a short attention span and it didn't happen as frequently. I used to brush it off as just being the sprinklers, air conditioning, or even a small animal that lived in the dirt. Now I know that's impossible, unless a little rodent follows me around when I move. Currently I am in a one story house, but I heard the little screech when I lived in two stories as well. It doesn't sound human, it has no real gender. Normally when people scream you can tell if its a boy or a girl, but like a teapot, it is not distinguishable. Its not loud enough to frighten me, it starts really quiet and makes its way up to be high pitch remotely fast. I am going to try and record it one night, but ill have to keep my camera rolling for hours because its really unpredictable. Sometimes I even hear it when I first wake up. Ive had sleep overs before, I heard it then too. I think my friends just assume it was my phone, our weird air conditioner or didn't hear it at all.  Whether or not its in my head, we have yet to determine. All I know is it has followed me. Does anyone else experience this? I have looked it up and nobody has had a similar experience. Am I delusional and it turns out it is a normal thing for everyone?
