Red-breasted Nuthatch in a classic upside down pose! It's hard to capture these little speedsters with the camera; many times they quickly hop onto the food bowl, grab a seed, and flit off. I have a number of photos with seeds flying in the air and no bird in sight :)

Maybe this once...

This child he stalked from the rooftop smelled like a youthful Tommy. The alien trailed behind it as a common-city-bird. Watching the child carefully he decided to come in for a closer look, if it was, in fact, not Tommy- he'd simply consume him.

Tommy stared at Roy when he opened the door. “Huh?” He then furrowed his brow. “Whys you looks diffs? Are yous wearings outfits?” He stared at the other’s tail. “You gots tail like Mister Kurt.”

"Um, nah not an outfit, I um- just look like this every so often okay?" He had no clue on how to explain it, heck Tommy probably didn't know about the demon in his head, so better not explaining that. He glanced down, tail sort of moving on its own anyway. "...no idea who that is, but yes, guess I do?"

Hah, hey, easy there. -he got his arms down and sort of lifted Tommy up, holding him in place so he wouldn't fall down- Missed you lots too, Tommy. -grins- So, come on what've you been up to all that time?
