1. Favorite place to write.
my kitchen island! i have no idea why. easy access to food and coffee i think! but sometimes ill write by the pool bc ill turn off the wifi and just drift... + sun is good
5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most.
when i write present tense, i’m influenced by jane green the most. she’s my favorite that does it that way. i also LOVE gillian flynn but i don’t think i’m her level. laurie frankel is definitely up there too, she has a more modern style with great humor and excellent little character details that are quirky and make her stories AWESOME. i try to add things like that to mine.
22. How many drafts do you need until you’re satisfied and a project is ultimately done for you?
merp.... i’m kind of glad for AO3 bc it forces me to post and be done. i file them away in a folder and that’s it, they’re done. otherwise i mean i’d feel like they’re never done - i could ALWAYS find things to tweak or add. but having other people read them in the infant stages helps me know when the emotion is hitting right, and when its time to let it fly free! i never rewrite from scratch... its always just one continuous document until its ready.... although i have broken it in pieces before to edit before putting it back together
34. Handwritten notes or typed notes? oh typed for sure, my handwriting mirrors that of a 7 year old boy who hasn’t picked which hand he wants to write with yet
50. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had.
literally ALL of them are weird. always. every time. im questioning my sanity only a lot. lmfao
