So, my adventures with weird fixer-upper instruments continues. My dad was in a thrift shop in Hong Kong and picked this up for a grand total of $15 (Canadian). Bit of research tells me it's called a liuqin. Four of its frets have fallen off, though fortunately three of those are hanging around loose in the case. Might try violin strings on it, since that's what the current strings appear to be. And it definitely needs a new set. It has not yet told me what its name is. It will when the time comes.
