But that wasn’t the true aspect of those eyes that captured Shen Jiu whenever he was feeling at his lowest. The spark inside of them was something he’d always wondered where it had come from. They lived the same life, with the same hardships and the same obstacles; what was it about his brother’s eyes that held such a spark of life that refused to be snuffed out at any moment, while Shen Jiu’s would constantly go out and it would take his brother’s reassurances to slowly revive it.
