@riverbankguardian Ethan & Liv Her apartment in Maple Town
Her and Kat's apartment wasn't fancy at all, but that didHer and Kat’s apartment wasn’t exactly fancy, but Liv wasn’t deterred. She had a vision of transforming it into a perfectly posh and classy tea room. She had looked up a few references online, but none of them quite matched her ideal. She was confident that she could make it even better.
The evening sun bathed one of their living room windows in a warm glow, so she draped a bunch of beige chiffon fabric over the curtain rods and pushed their small kitchen table all the way across the apartment. Once she had set up the table with the new porcelain tea set she had gotten, Liv went off to get ready, which would likely take even longer than setting up the room itself.
Choosing the perfect outfit took her about half an hour. Liv knew she hadn't looked her best when she'd met Ethan and he'd seemed to be more than fine with her messy hair and casual clothes, but she wanted to fit in with the vibe, and why not, perhaps make his jaw drop about an inch. She couldn't stop checking her phone the entire time, though. There was a hint of fear at the pit of her stomach that perhaps Ethan would cancel on her at the last minute. She wouldn't blame him– he seemed like a busy man with a real-life job that sounded important enough to leave everything else aside– but that same fear managed to mix up with excitement as the smell of the freshly baked crumpets started spreading through the apartment.
"It's almost time, baby girl!" She exclaimed to Tea as she picked her up from the floor to get her ready with a matching pink ribbon around her neck. "This guy was probably more excited to meet you than to see me again, so... please, be on your best behavior, okay?" She fluffed the bow one more time when the doorbell rang. Her heart started racing, beating so hard she could feel it at the top of her throat as she buzzed him in. She let out a little squeak as she took Tea in her arms, and walked out to the living room to make sure everything looked perfect one more time, and paced a little in front of the door as she waited for the knock.
