If you want to start a new habit or break an old one, focus on getting a small streak going and your mindset will shift from having to DO something to not having to NOT do it. It's easier to not want to break a streak of something you've started than to tell yourself you have to keep doing it. Don't "Just do it." Just "(don't NOT) Do It."
Fall in love with the problem, not the solution
Resist the urge to think of solutions right away without staying deeply in the problem first. When you are encountered with a problem, stay within it for as long as you can before jumping to a solution. The longer you stay in it and deeply understand it, the better you'll identify it and come to the best solution.
